Stunning hotel in a stunning location. Food and service. Our top class, as expected from a, Belmont. And it definitely encouraged us to go and try more Belmont properties as and when possible.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Sadly we only stayed one night - two would have been better. We used a taxi transfer company called Taximundo to transfer us from Puno to the hotel. It took 6 hours but we had several photo/ toilet stops and the time flew by. We arrived in time for lunch in the garden under the trees which was lovely. They brought the llamas at 2.30 and we gave them bottles of warm milk. There were 2 tiny babies, only 2 weeks old. Then a man arrived with his horse for a small dancing demonstration . Our room was fabulous. One of the best we have stayed in. Huge bathroom, lovely lounge area and huge bed. We had our own private hot plunge pool which was gorgeous. Nice view of the valley. Dinner was good, by the fireside in the dining room. The next day we did their trip to Tapay for a private breakfast in the mountains. We stopped at Condor Cross first to see the condors and then we were taken a few minutes down the road where they had set up a table and umbrella for our special breakfast. It was so beautiful and we saw so many condors. It was an expensive trip but worth every penny and I definitely advise that you book it up. All the staff were lovely. Very friendly. A special thanks to Jose who looked after us so well. I would definitely recommend that you stay here. After the special Tapay breakfast we taken by Taximundo to Arequipa

I’ve stayed in a lot of nice places over the years, but Belmond Hotel Las Casitas really stands out. It’s honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The setting is absolutely stunning—right in the middle of the Colca Canyon, surrounded by dramatic views in every direction. The property itself is incredibly well-kept and just beautiful. You feel like you’re completely tucked away from the world, which is exactly what we wanted. Our casita felt like a little home of its own. Super cozy but still luxurious, with everything we could have needed: a fireplace we used every night, a private hot tub with a view, and even an outdoor shower. It was private, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. Waking up to that view every morning felt like a gift. Everything about the place is designed to help you slow down and recharge. It’s quiet and calm—no traffic, no noise, just the sound of birds and the occasional breeze. If you need to reset and get some energy back, this is the place. Food & Spa The food was fantastic. Everything we ate was fresh and full of flavor, and a lot of it comes straight from their own organic gardens, which you can actually see on the property. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality and that the kitchen puts real thought into every dish. The spa was another highlight. We had great treatments that left us feeling completely relaxed. Afterward, we did a short spiritual experience led by one of the therapists—it was something different, and really well done. Not cheesy, just calm and thoughtful. Daily Activities There are small, nice touches during the day too—like helping feed the alpacas and llamas in the morning. It’s optional but fun, especially if you’re an animal lover or just want to start the day doing something a little different. Service That Makes the Difference What really made this stay unforgettable, though, was the service. Every single person we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. Diego, the concierge, was amazing—he helped us plan our hiking and gave us useful tips we wouldn’t have known otherwise. The general manager checked in with us a few times during our stay just to make sure everything was going well. You could tell he really wanted to make sure guests were happy. At the restaurant, the staff were just next-level. One night, our waitress sang for us after dinner—something we didn’t expect but that made the night really memorable. And the attention to detail was incredible. One morning, I grabbed some cereal from the buffet, and by the time I sat down, a spoon had already been placed at my table. It’s the kind of thing you don’t notice right away, but it sticks with you. It felt like everyone there loved their job and took pride in making guests feel special. That’s what really set this place apart for me. The people make it more than just a nice hotel—they make it an experience. Final Thoughts This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. Between the scenery, the peaceful atmosphere, the great food, and the truly amazing service, it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. I’d go back in a heartbeat and if I could, I would rate this 7 out of 5.

If there was a 6 star given out, Las Casitas would get it. Huge lovely accommodations that will pamper you. The heated dipping pool was a welcome treat after seeing the beautiful condors. The quality at the restaurant was top notch.

This property is a tribute to luxury and quality. It is expensive but well worth it. Each casita is 1200 sq ft complete with a private garden, fully stocked minibar, ample living and sleeping space and even a fireplace. You feel like you are in a private residential community and the remaining guests are your neighbors. The staff is very nice and they live near the premises so they are ready and happy to help. The manager is very nice. During our stay they had a small courtesy reception with drinks and a fire pit. The views are stunning and it is near the viewing point to see the condors. Breakfast is outstanding and plentiful.
