With a flawless design and a spectacular setting, Alila Villas Uluwatu marries Balinese culture with modern design. Perched atop a magnificent plateau abutting limestone cliffs, the ocean below bellows with the sound of crashing waves and creates a melodic echo with every crest. There are 84 sustainably-designed villas concealing interiors that are contemporary and uncluttered, with overtones of traditional Balinese textures including rattan and stone. The multi-room villas, each with its own pool, radiate with luxury and boast such appointments as private bars, outdoor dining nooks, private cabanas, and stylish baths with both indoor and outdoor showers. There is also 24-hour butler service, which adds an effortless element to your stay.

Alila Uluwatu is a sanctuary of culinary delights! the cabanas for private dining are exceptional and the quirky art work sets the hotel aside. the villa is prefect for R&R and relaxation, I moved from indoor lounge overlooking the pool to outdoor sun lounge then took a shady respite in the covered pool side cabana, delighting in the lush trees and flowers that brough butterflies and dragon flies around. the easy walk down the terraces to dining made moving around easy but buggies were on hand if the stairs were too much after a delish lunch or dinner or if you were too rubbery kneed after a spa treatment! Delightful staff, of note were Yumi, RIshma and Dion in the outlets, bringing amazing food and Andy is a whiz at relaxing his subjects; we have some of our favourite portraits from the stunning grounds, a lovely surprise to have a photo shoot during the stay!

Outstanding. 10/10 stars. This is one of the most phenomenal experiences anywhere. The staff in every area are outstanding. The experiences in the resort were stellar and the excursions they organized made memories for a lifetime. Be sure to do the Journey to Enlightenment—life changing! And ask them arrange for a trip to Padang Padang Beach (of Eat, Pray, Love fame). Aerial Yoga in the Sunset Cabana was a true -wow! The villas are gorgeous and the pool experience is unforgettable--calm, beautiful, stellar service—you won't want to leave.

We had the best time at Alila and can’t wait for next visit. From the ambience to food, everything was incredible! I also loved the car drop off and pick up to and from Savaya! Made it super easy to get there and be picked up from after a fun night out! 100% recommend staying here!

This resort is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible. The service is top-notch. The food is five star. The rooms are so clean and nice. Every room has a private plunge pool which was key. The staff was just so accommodating

Alila Villas may just be the best resort we have ever been to (and we have been to many luxury resorts all over the world). The resort is very spacious and beautifully designed - modern contemporary combined with authentic Balinese. There were plenty of staff and the service was exceptional across the resort’s restaurants, bar, sommelier, concierge, housekeeping and butler. The food at the resort (breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service) was delicious and varied. My partner had his best meal ever at the Balinese restaurant! The resort is quite centrally located - town is a cab right away. Vincent and Victoria were excellent managers and went above and beyond to make our stay special and peaceful. The two villas we stayed at were gorgeous, particularly the second one on the cliff edge. We highly recommend and would love to come back.

“The Alila Uluwatu is a truly gorgeous property with breathtaking views. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon. I strongly recommend the hotel for a private getaway for couples although there were some families present at the time we were there. Definitely a very pricey hotel. The saying ""if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it"" I think fits well. However with views and luxury behind them I figure one shouldn't complain. Really miss waking up to seeing my private pool, cabana and the blue skies and seas of the Indian ocean sprawled out before me. Service couldn't be flawed either. Smiles everywhere accompanied by genuine interest to make sure all was well with meals, spa, rooms etc."
