Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Returning to Phulay Bay after my visit last year, I was somewhat cautious, perhaps a little skeptical. Surely my great memories were just rose-tinted glasses, surely they couldn't live up to the unbelievably high expectations I had this time around. But Phulay Bay nailed it yet again, with a level of service and attention to detail I have yet to encounter in any other ultra-lux property. In fact, I will go so far as to say that in my longer stay this time around, the hotel impressed me even more than before - the Beach Villas are huge and luxurious enough for anyone, the service is as perfect as I imagine is possible, and the property, and surrounding city, is as breathtakingly gorgeous as ever. A huge thank you goes to our butler Khun Sabai and the chef Khun Rahul. Between them, my family and I were taken care of in every way possible, and felt right at home with people to help with every possible request or desire. They are both the best ambassadors the property could have dreamed of, and their service justifies the eye-watering price and then some.

Excellent resort and it's management. First time we witnessed what a true butler can do. She was there for everything. Just need to send a message and she appears within a minute either personally or through her messages. The food was exceptional and Chef Rahul made whatever we asked him to prepare. It shows the freedom the staff enjoys to do whatever to please the customers. Excellent.

It’s an amazing place. Not much more to describe really. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and it was raining heavily 2 out of the 4. But we didn’t mind. The service and the room were top notch and we feel like king and queen. The royal palace room is truly royalty. Adding the world class butler service ( Jake the snake ) made our stay so complete. The dining experience at Sri Trang (local Thai cuisine) was one of a kind. Chef Ong prepared local specialties for us every night. Breakfast was also tailored for us every morning. And Javid, the director of room, was there everyday to greet us and ensured that we were well taken care of. The day trip to Hong Island is another memorable experience. To sum it up, I don’t think you can have a better hotel/resort experience. It might be different but can’t be better. I’m speaking from a Bonvoy’s ambassador perspective. Thank you all from the resort for such an awesome experience!

This hotel has been on my must stay list for some years. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary so added this to our Thailand travel plans. 3 nights at this gorgeous hotel was amazing ! From check in to check out nothing was overlooked. We were met at check in by Ian the hotel manager and our butler Pin and our luxury stay commenced. Our Reserve villa with private pool was well appointed - the bed huge (like all other comments) and was very comfortable. Full amenities included in the room nothing was amiss. Breakfast daily was a lovely experience, including prosecco / cocktail bar. Breakfast buffet had great inclusions and if something wasn't there you just need ask and they will make it for you. The main pool was lovely - just as the images show and the team at the bar happy to assist in anyway. Thai Mojito making class at the beach bar was fun and a great inclusive activity in the afternoon. The shuttle boat to Hong Island is also a great activity, great way to see the local island area on the water. Dinner in the Thai restaurant was lovely, both the Larb Moo and Mussaman curry were tasty and well presented. Unfortunately, the seafood restaurant was fully booked the night we wanted to try. A lovely bath drawn each night for your arrival back from dinner - such a lovely touch - this hotel take relaxation to the next level. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and a stroll through the gardens was lovely each day. Thank you to Pin and Ah our butlers who were so attentive and friendly, assisting every step of the way. Thank you so all staff throughout the hotel - all genuine and friendly, very attentive. I would highly recommend this secluded luxury hotel !

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton JBR was nothing short of spectacular. The property is stunning, but what truly set it apart was the exceptional service. Our butler Yid went above and beyond each day with thoughtful touches that made us feel genuinely special. Director of Rooms Javid ensured everything ran smoothly and made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and warmth elevated the entire experience. One of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had – highly recommended
