Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

This is an outstanding property. Rooms are immaculate and service is of the highest quality. I think this was the best hotel stay I have ever experienced. I am very thankful to Na, our butler, who ensured we had a wonderful time. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. You have to go if you have the chance!

We have just spent the most wonderful 5days in this resort. Everything was perfect from check in to check out and I honestly can’t wait to be back here one day. We were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to reserve pool villa and we are so grateful, as the room was amazing. The service has been sublime. In particular our butler Na, did everything humanly possible to ensure we have a wonderful stay. Everyone is highly attentive and is able to surprise you positively on a daily basis. Having travelled substantially, also to similar level resorts, I have to admit this is the best service I have ever encountered. All facilities are in immaculate condition. Restaurants are at an extremely high level. It shows that the property has been recently refurbished and is kept in good shape. I highly recommend staying here. It’s worth every penny!

It’s a gem. We are very sophisticated customers, stayed in many elite hotels in the world, including best hotels in Switzerland, France, US. So we are very demanding when it comes to properties which position themselves as an upscale. This place fully deserves 10/10 in terms of customer service. Food is 9/10. Rooms are 9/10. Location and beach 8/10 We would love to came back and we will. Stayed about a week in August 2025. Many thanks to Yid, the best butler we had in our life. And complements to the hotel manager who greeted us upon arrival.

Lovely hotel with top level service. This hotel has some of the best staff we've experienced. The food we enjoyed was consistently high standard. The hotel is a bit secluded and its a shame it doesn't have access to the nearby beach but regardless it is a beautiful location and the complimentary daily trips to Hong Island are a great touch. Our only negative really (and why only 4/5) was the pricing of drinks- they are far too high, the price of the cheapest bottle of (Thai) wine with our meal was a whopping £42! We had access to a butler, Habib, who was fantastic and provided us with regular treats and good advice on getting the best from our stay. Also Aoy at breakfast was delightful and served fantastic coffee. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy superb service but be prepared if you are travelling on a budget.

We stayed here for three nights, from October 27–30, and absolutely loved every moment! From the moment we arrived, we felt that this is a truly exceptional place. The staff are incredibly kind, genuine, and attentive — the level of service is beyond compare. The rooms are extremely spacious, bright, and beautifully designed. The room service is excellent — fast, discreet, and always perfect. The breakfast is outstanding, offering an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality dishes prepared with great attention to detail. When it comes to activities, you are in the best hands here. The team not only makes each experience special, but also carefully plans the timing according to the tide and water levels to ensure guests have the best possible experience. A special thank you goes to our personal butler Habib, who truly elevated our stay to another level. He is attentive, professional, discreet, and intuitive — with a remarkable ability to anticipate guests’ needs and make everything effortless. His service was nothing short of world-class. We would also like to compliment General Manager Paul, who clearly leads by example. The entire resort is immaculate, and it’s evident that the whole team works in perfect harmony to create an unforgettable guest experience. In summary: Phulay Bay is pure perfection — outstanding hospitality and value for money is absolutely given. 100% the best choice in the region!
