Beau-Rivage Palace

The Hotel is top, but the technical problems in the room (junior Suite) left room for improvement. The electical curtains didnt work, so I had full light as of 4h in in the morning, I called concierge but they couldnt fix it. Ok if you are a 2 start hotel, but a 5 star hotel should get the basics human needs (dark room at night) right. I own a hotel myself and thats the first thing that needs to work always. Then the hoteol can be enjoyed with all its services and offerings.

The check in process was really unpleasant. I tried checking in at 2.30pm and they told me my room won’t be available until 3.45pm. This is fine as I understood the check in time starts from 3pm. I hence double confirmed with the staff that I will return to the reception at 3.45pm to collect my key. As instructed I came back to the reception at 3.45pm, yet surprising my room still needed to be checked and unfortunately no one was picking up the phone. I ended up waiting for another 20 mins at the reception, as they had to send someone to the room at that very instance to check my room. This is rather unacceptable since I reasonably expected these should have been done before I come back. My conditioner bottle was empty since day 1, and was never refilled until the day I checked out. I stayed 3 nights. My used cotton pads pack was also not refilled. At my check out, the reception staff gave me the wrong information to put my luggage in the ballroom. After I dragged my luggage all the way from concierge to the ballroom, I found out no one kept luggage there. I had to go back to the reception and check with other staff, and finally they took my luggage at the concierge. When I later returned to pick up my luggage, I had to wait 15 mins although I told the staff I am in a hurry to catch my flight. The staff were reluctant and unhelpful the whole time.

further to my previous review I just want the correct the following line and I have asked for the check and same waiter comes and tells me that they have NOT added my maincorse to the bill and I told him this is supposed to happen because I couldn't eat anything and I didn't have my maincorse and he said but you have ordered !!!! at this time I stopped talking and paid the check because the family night was ruined with these rude comments and unfortunately there was no apology from the metr d so have left with a bitter memory

Nice looking hotel when we drove in, but… When we checked in and asked for the table for dinner there was no availability in any of the restaurants. So we had to go and eat outside of the hotel. We were only given one room key which made it difficult as it authorised the lift and the electric in the room. So we had to be inseparable ;) When my partner came down to the pool area he was aggressively asked directly: "What's your name!? What's your room number?" without any politeness or respect. It was a bit rude ... The shower in the room smelled of sewage almost made us feel sick. We asked to get two bicycles for a few hours in the morning. It was mentioned that they may be complimentary but we were charged 80 CHF. And also this is one of the few expensive hotels where they will charge you 55 CHF for parking for the night. And all of this for almost 1k per night. We stayed in lots of nice hotels over the years and you wouldn't expect these sort of issues. So quite disappointed after all and definitely wouldn't go back there or recommend it. BTW we don't normally complain about the hotels. But this one deserves an honest review.

We are a family of 5 and THIS beautiful hotel was our favorite out of alllll the hotels of our 2.5 week travels through Switzerland, Paris and Copenhagen combined! We’re in Paris and all joking we just want to go back and stay at Beau Rivage to end our trip and forgo Paris! From the beautiful grounds to the friendly service and food and relaxing pool and pickleball… we just felt so relaxed in the impeccable ambiance. The spa was wonderful as well. We are a hard to please group and we ALL loved it and that’s very rare.
