It is such a great experience during stay in Winter. The overall experience was so prestige, room with balcony with lake view, luxury amenities and fantastic chocolate.

A truly exquisite hotel in Ouchy overlooking Lake Geneva. Excellent location, exceptionally hospitable management and staff, and top-notch cuisine throughout.

We returned to the Beau-Rivage to give it a second chance after a disappointing previous stay, following a written apology from management and a clear assurance that the experience would be different, if we gave them another chance. Unfortunately, it was not. What worked: The meal at the Café was excellent, and the guest relation manager came to our table to greet us, which we appreciated. What didn’t: Despite the context of our return, there was no sense of recognition. Being asked at reception whether it was our first visit highlighted a complete lack of continuity. There was no welcome letter or in-room amenity, which is surprising for a hotel positioning itself as 5-star superior. Beyond that, a series of details revealed a broader problem: damaged wooden headrests in the sauna, toilets in the restaurant found in an unacceptable state during dinner, and no apology or follow-up after alerting staff. One moment was particularly telling. At breakfast, I was asked to return to my room because I was wearing the hotel’s own slippers. This is, in my view, the exact opposite of true luxury. Luxury should feel effortless and welcoming, not rule-bound and uncomfortable. Finally, the bathroom lighting flickered like a stroboscope when using the soft-light setting, which is not only unpleasant but also a potential safety issue. Taken individually, these might seem minor. Taken together, they point to a systemic lack of care and, more importantly, a lack of repair. At this price point, and for a hotel of this reputation, that is not acceptable. We have many beautiful memories tied to this house, including important life events. That makes this conclusion all the more disappointing. Sadly, the Beau-Rivage no longer aligns with what we expect from high-end hospitality, and we will not return for accommodation.

I loved every minute of our stay from the minute we arrived, hospitality was unmatched. The hotel is warm and friendly, every staff member was so helpful.
