Honu Homes/Four Lagoons Realty Condos At Beach Villas Are Amazing!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

There's only one place our family agrees on visiting when we take a vacation. Beach Villas is our happy place, and we visit at least once a year. It affords us the perfect place to relax, and is close to everything so we're able to take day trips to the North Shore and the Windward Coast to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center or the Waimea Botanical Garden. So much of the experience for us is about the people, and everyone at Beach Villas has always been so welcoming. And we've always had the best experience in we book a condo from Honu Homes/Four Lagoons Realty. The grounds, facilities, pools and lagoon are all amazing, and the staff at the resort have always been so nice. Cherie has been amazing to work with for each of our visits. She's fantastic. She's very responsive and accommodating. She's always been happy to help with anything we've needed for our visit. The service that she, Robin and Daniel provide is so exceptional, we haven't managed to visit any of the other islands because this resort is it for us. Their communication is great and they make us feel like family. Their condos are immaculate and they also have great rates. Whenever we're ready to come back, we reach out to Cherie to let her know and she helps us plan our next adventure in paradise. Just writing this review has made me realize I need to book another trip. Time to connect with Cherie!

A SCARY NIGHTMARE!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

BIG NIGHTMARE -- long review yet reading may save your life (I know it sounds melodramatic yet you will soon see it may not be!) The resort was gorgeous and the rooms were spacious and lovely. The problem was that the pool area with waterfalls by Bldg 3 are notorious for causing falls and I was only one of the victims! While waiting for our room to be readied, my family went to the pool area, as the grandchildren wanted to swim. Unbeknownst to me, my daughter-in-law slipped on the smooth slate pavers before she got to me, yet my son was able to catch her before she hit the stone surface. My 6 year old granddaughter also fell on the slick surface, not once, but twice!!! I had navigated to the chair by the pool without incident earlier, yet when I got up to join my family in the chairs behind me, I felt like my legs were swept from under me -- as if I was on an ice-skating rink -- and I fell down VERY hard, hitting my head in the process! My family rushed over to me, seeing the whole incident and helped me up. My right knee was bent forcing my ankle and lower leg to be pinned under me; my left wrist was throbbing with pain, apparently in my attempt to catch myself. A waitress came over to see if I was OK and sent a Safety Rep to fill out an incident report, which the many witnesses augmented with their view of the accident. Believing I only had sprains, I immediately stopped by the front desk on the way to my room to ice my sprains and raise my leg and reported that my daughter, grandchild and myself had fallen on this very slippery area and they needed to put a sign up -- they had a few up around the hotel yet none at the most dangerous spot. I could write a short story re: what happened next yet suffice it to say that I warned everyone I saw over the next 5 days to watch the area by this pool and went down to the front desks at least 4 times to report that others told me they had either slipped themselves or watched others slip -- one a little boy. All in all there were 7 guests during 5 days who had reported falling/or witnessing a fall to me by the time I left the resort 6 days later. Nothing was done! I spent my vacation in my room with leg elevated with ice packs on my wrist and ankle -- a Netflix marathon! As I was not improving, 4 days after the injury, I went to the front desk and the clerk said they had no first aide at the hotel and texted me a list of urgent care centers. I spent the next 5 hours with my husband at her recommended one before learning I had a broken wrist and avulsion ankle fracture The clerk apparently mentioned her referral to Safety because the next evening he showed up at my door saying no incident report was on file (yet later found the original which only stated I fell) and he yelled at me for going to urgent care without notifying him. I told him I went to the front desk. When asked why the hotel had failed to take steps to stop the falls, he replied they couldn't --"It is our busy season." He also made me prove that I got the list of urgent care from the desk by demanding I forward the text to him. NOW I am ANGRY! From their lack of action, they apparently don't care about people falling near the pool and were made aware of the danger several times by me alone!!! They are obviously not going to do anything about it unless the victims band together and sue them, making an impact on them! If you fell at this resort by the pool with the waterfalls, please contact me with dates and an email. I will forward to an attorney to handle. Someone could easily hit their head resulting in death, if they haven't already. Marriott has tangled with the wrong person, despite my Sr Citizen age. I have worked for Northrop Grumman creating and maintaining their web site up until a few years ago and I am launching a web site where I can locate other victims and where they can get in touch with me: oahu-marriott-timeshare-deathtrap.com or oahu-marriott-hotel-deathtrap.com Let us prevent future injuries due to negligence!

This is a lovely condo complex

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Nice outfitted condo with all the toys you need. Short walk to kid safe beach. Grounds nicely landscaped. Quite pool is simple, but heated. Kids pool is large but needs to be heated. All the kids were cold. This is not acceptable. Couldn’t tell if the ocean or pool was colder. Not good for the kids

Great place, various management companies and units represent here.

Our unit was awesome! We have stayed 7 times at BV and we do love it. Those that complain are rule breakers, they are clear about the rules. They were a little lax this past visit on kids/babies in the quiet pool and the person who said some parents are entitled is correct. There is a whole pool geared to kids and two hot tubs. I think it’s gross when babies are wearing diapers in the quiet pool. Our unit was well stocked we had a mid stay clean which was fantastic as we were there a month. There are several management companies that represent owners and perhaps if you are having a poor experience you should try a different one. I have stayed in several units. Some are not as well equipped as others. The ground are wonderful and well maintained. Some units look a bit more tired than others.

Beautiful location!

This was our second visit to this location. We loved our stay and the only thing we didn’t particularly enjoy was the loud kids in the quiet pool area. The kids have a lovely pool area where they can play and splash around. The larger pool with a designated lap lane is the “quiet” pool, in which there are super clear rules posted all over, and also included in the house rules. We often like to go here to escape the noise and just soak in the sun. The number of entitled parents that felt these rules didn’t apply to them or their families was appalling. They were throwing balls across the pool, playing loud games and not being respectful of seniors attempting to swim laps peacefully. I didn’t even have to complain as the front desk could hear the noise and other residents would go speak to the staff and complain. My husband and I and our two adult kids sat there in awe of these parents that felt they were above the rules and watched as the poor staff had to continuously come and remind them to keep down and put their toys away, etc. (and be met with attitude). If you want to be loud and you can’t control your kids and feel that you need more than “just” two kids pools and an ocean… go elsewhere. Thank you to the staff at the resort, you are top notch. Thank you for trying to keep this resort in the best shape possible. Your hospitality and hard work does not go unnoticed.
