The Ritz Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert

Probably one of the best Marriott properties in the whole world. Located in the Al Wadi Desert, with beautiful views and friendly animals, I highly recommend to stay in this property. The villas are spacious and spotless, with a nice heated private pool. the view from the pool is spectacular. The staff is extremely professional and friendly, from the buggy drivers that take you around with a smile to the housekeeping staff that do wonderful job. We tried one of the casual restaurants and the food was delicious, great service and great value. The service from Gail and Rhoit made our experience even better. We received a very warm welcome by Mohkhtar and a very good check in experience by Vikshay. We arrived slightly early but they clearly went above and beyond to prepare the room for us as fast as possible. Yakub, was super professional. Drove us directly to our villa and took care of all of our luggage. He also provided us with all the information we needed about the villa. They also supplied for us a very well maintained bicycle. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh. Highly recommended, thank you for a memorable stay!

As a Titanium member of Marriott Bonvoy, I booked this stay and was pleasantly surprised with a generous upgrade to the Al Sarab Villa. The villa is absolutely stunning, with authentic Arabic desert design, very spacious layout, and a large private pool with a perfect warm temperature. The bathroom alone feels like a villa by itself. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The experience was beautiful from start to finish, including the bonfire, desert walks, falcon show, and the kids club where my son had a great time. A special thank you to Walid, the Recreation Manager, who organized our bicycles and was extremely helpful with all activities. The front office lady who checked us in was very professional and kind, and made a great first impression, sorry I forgot her name. Mukhtar, the bellboy, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Also Semsom, the buggy driver if I remember correctly, went the extra mile when I forgot my small luggage in the car. He personally drove me back and forth and arranged a smooth pickup. That level of care is truly appreciated. The breakfast team was professional and welcoming, and the staff at Paddock Café during our dinner were polite, quick, and very kind. There is room to improve the quality and uniqueness of the breakfast items, as the buffet felt similar to many hotels in Dubai and did not fully reflect the extra value expected from a Ritz luxury experience. One thing that truly stood out is the team spirit. Everyone was smiling, relaxed, and genuinely offering service. This is not something you always see in remote desert locations where staff can sometimes feel stressed due to the environment. Here, the atmosphere was positive, warm, and very well managed. We were also granted a late check out until 2 PM, which made the experience even more relaxing. Overall, it was an amazing desert escape with excellent service, warm hospitality, and true attention to detail. Highly recommended for a luxury and peaceful getaway.

We spent three unforgettable nights there celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Beyond the outstanding facilities and exceptional setting, we were welcomed and cared for from start to finish by a remarkably attentive staff (Jonas, Hiba at the library; Mokhtar and Neo at reception; Gail at the Paddock Café, Benard from room service, Hein and Joshi at breakfast, and the gentleman from Niger whose name we unfortunately forgot, who would leave chocolates in our room every evening). It is these 9 people — their smiles and their availability — that truly gave us the lasting desire to return.

This is a very good hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the desert setting is magical. We booked an Al Rimal villa and had requested in advance to have one that had a sunny pool and patio area. Although the villa was lovely it was very disappointing to find that there was no sun on our outside area at all. It meant that sunbathing and dipping in the pool were impossible. If we wanted a sunny pool we needed to upgrade to a tented villa, so that’s what we did and it made it all the difference. The new villa was fabulous, with a lovely sunny terrace and a pool that we used a lot. It was very private with lots of space between the villas and not overlooked at all. Heaven! The staff are well trained and friendly. Breakfast was consistently good and we had a lovely meal in the Farmhouse. The buggy drivers were great and would often stop as we were walking along and ask if we wanted a lift. The bird of prey show was good but the stargazing was disappointing. The man who ran it was very knowledgable but there was too much light pollution to get really good views. There was noise from buggies in the evening doing dune bashing in the desert which a shame as it spoiled the peace. We had a really relaxing holiday and would love to return

We chose this hotel for our first trip to the UAE, and it exceeded our expectations. The nature-friendly and tranquil environment was wonderful, the staff were incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and all the activities were outstanding. We would absolutely love to visit again in the future.
