About the Hotel
Nestled between a pristine 1-kilometre-long private beach and lush gardens, the hotel is situated ten minutes drive from the city's international airport, five minutes from the golf course and the new Convention Centre and 15 minutes from the Corniche and the city centre. Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, features 213 luxurious rooms and suites, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style. Enjoyed our stay, minor room for improvment.
Had eleven very enjoyable days here. Good facilities, very helpful and friendly staff. Good service levels, room spacious, clean, good AC and low noise. Lots of storage and features. Great choice & quality at breakfast, staff will help you find a seat very quickly even at weekends when its busy. Lobby bar does not operate a 'happy hour' and neither does the pool bar, which means prices are unjustifiably high. Being a Circle member does not offer significant enough discount. Some guests while we were there were quite loud and distracting, which as a shame. Pools are cool and well attended by staff, however there is no adults only pool. Have also stayed at the Fairmont just along the beach, and its a close call between the two. Fairmont has a few more food and beverage options.

Shangria Abu Dhabi was great. 5 star service, the room was bigger than I expected, has a separate desk room, dress room. The pools were great as well clean and classy. House keeping was excellent, special thanks to Ronald Ramesh, he was like a butler always asking me if I need anything.

A week fabulous which surpassed economists expectations.
A brilliant week in a lovely location which was comfortable and friendly and which allowed us to balance visits to local cultural places with relaxing by the. pool.
