The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

Before anything else, I have to recognize Rohit Kukreja, the manager at The Oberoi Amarvilas. He was truly exceptional and elevated our stay in a way that felt deeply personal and memorable. Rohit made sure we received a center view room with a balcony that directly overlooks the Taj Mahal skyline, which was absolutely breathtaking and made every moment in the room feel special. He also surprised us with a gorgeous white chocolate Taj Mahal sculpture to celebrate our special occasion, along with a handwritten card that was so thoughtful and warm. Throughout our stay, he continued to check in on us and ensure everything was perfect - it genuinely made us feel like royalty. These are the kinds of moments of delight that set a world class hotel apart, and Rohit delivered them effortlessly. Beyond the view, what stood out most was the people and the experience. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and proactive without ever feeling intrusive - you truly feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food was excellent across the board: beautifully presented, consistently delicious, and thoughtfully tailored, whether we were having a relaxed meal at the hotel or grabbing something before heading out to explore. And the property itself is stunning - the architecture and design feel like a modern palace, with elegant Mughal inspired details, tranquil courtyards, and perfectly composed spaces that make the entire stay feel calm, grand, and special. Location was also super convenient and less than 5min away from the Taj Mahal. We also had an incredible time exploring Agra thanks to our tour guide, Muzammil, who was outstanding from start to finish. He took us to the best spots in Agra - the Taj Mahal, Mehtab Bagh, Itimad ud Daulah’s Tomb, and Agra Fort - and made the entire day seamless. Muzammil is extremely knowledgeable with an almost encyclopedic command of Agra’s history and facts, and he shared stories and context that made each site come alive. He also kept the tour moving smoothly and efficiently, which mattered a lot given crowds and timing. On top of that, he helped us negotiate pricing for a private photographer at the Taj Mahal, which was a huge help and made the experience even more special. If you are coming to Agra, I cannot recommend The Oberoi Amarvilas highly enough - and if you can, ask for Rohit Kukreja’s support and book Muzammil as your guide. Together, they created an unforgettable experience.

The property is beautiful, but what truly makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail are outstanding. Unfortunately, my daughter fell ill during the last days of our stay. During this time, every member of the team showed genuine concern and went out of their way to help us in every possible manner. Their kindness and support made a difficult situation much easier for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were deeply impressed by the level of care and service provided. It was a truly memorable experience.

Amarvilas is one of the iconic properties of the country . It offers best view of Taj Mahal. Its the closest luxury hotel also to the Taj Mahal with a shuttle service provided by the hotel to and fro from Taj Mahal. Property has a very high luxury level and everything is of high standard. It has a very unique architecture with a good sized garden and is very well maintained and has all the features and amenities one can expect from a luxury 5 star hotel. Hotel has a very good coffee shop/ multicuisine restaurant and a very good Indian restaurant. To top everything is the best in class Service of Oberoi. You always feel pampered. Services of the front desk ,concierge and in restaurants and in room dining are appreciable. Housekeeping was also to perfection. I was there to celebrate my Mother's birthday with my family. Mr Rohit Kukreja GM of the hotel and his entire team have done their best to make it a memorable one. Services of Arpan , Rohit , Satvik , Arthi , Koyel ,Sneha , Simone, Anand and Kaushik were extremely praiseworthy. Will always stay in Amarvilas whenever in Agra .

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel in every aspect. From the moment of checkin until the drive out of the driveway the staff bent over backwards to ensure we had an amazing stay. Our room had a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal with all of the amenities needed. We had dinner and breakfast there with delicious food and again fabulous service. Many hotels claim to be five star but this one truly is! Don’t hesitate, splurge and see for yourself!
