AmarVilas is rightly ranked number one hotel in the world. Right from arrival till checkout, we were treated as royalty . Everything worked well and hospitality was at its best. Its location with Tajmahal view from each room is unbeatable. Access to Tajmahal is very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Agra

We were incredibly impressed by the Oberoi Amarvilas. Given that it has little or no serious competition in Agra, with all bedrooms in the hotel having a view of the Taj Mahal, and being within walking distance of the mausoleum, I did wonder if they might be resting on their laurels. They are absolutely not. The hotel is beautiful, everything is spotlessly clean and staff are fantastic. It is an oasis of calm in the noise, traffic and business of Agra. The grounds are well kept, We stayed in a superior room with balcony, which had a fabulous view of the Taj Mahal. I suspect all rooms have a virtually identical view but we did enjoy being able to sit outside and admire it. The Room was great and had everything you would expect in this level of hotel . They even offered to change the firmness of the mattress if we preferred some firmer or softer and I was tempted to say yes just to see how they did it, but it was very comfortable as it was. I had read reviews of compact bathrooms, but our had a separate bath and shower. Admittedly only one basin, but that wasn’t a big issue. The food was delicious (apart from one dish, which I really didn’t like very much, but my husband ate very happily). The staff were a real highlight- nothing was too much trouble. We tried to tip one member of staff on arrival but he refused to accept it saying it wasn’t hotel policy ( you can tip collectively at the end of your stay. They even asked if they could improve any aspect of our stay, a great question and one I have never before been asked. It took me so much by surprise that I couldn’t think of anything. On reflection and having thought about it quite hard, there are two things I could have mentioned. We had made a reservation for the specialty restaurant before we arrived and it would have been useful to have them leave a note in our room to remind us of the details. Other than that it was a faultless and very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it.

The staff was so welcoming and amazing. In the short time that we stayed, the management and staff made us felt like we were the only ones here. The attentiveness to detail is second to none. Out of all the hotels I've ever stayed at, this is by far the best I have ever been to. The only downside of our stay was that we didn't stay longer. From the very first moment we arrived and till the last moment we stayed, we truly felt the genuine care from everyone here.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful grand Hotel with excellent facilities, beautiful poolside, terraces and grounds. Rooms have a great view of the Taj Mahal. The staff is welcoming, gracious and endlessly helpful.

We arrived late due to traffic and missed the sunset and the staff was determined to make sure we had a memorable night anyway. The room was extremely well appointed and the hotel upgraded us to a lovely suite with a great view of the Taj. Dinner was exceptional at the fine dining restaurant and we enjoyed meeting the staff and the manager who was so funny - we learned so much about Indian cuisine . The next morning the staff reminded us about trying a certain dish for an Indian breakfast and it was wonderful. The Taj guide arranged through then hotel was also top notch. My favorite was the driver who drove us to Delhi. He was a wealth of information and we followed his suggestions with great success. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer
