We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our one night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. We arrived around mid afternoon and were warmly welcomed at reception, with a friendly and informative introduction to the hotel. We loved our quiet and tastefully decorated loch view room, which was so calm and comfy we managed a two hour sleep before dinner! We enjoyed a cocktail in the beautifully decorated lounge, and enjoyed perusing all the memorabilia on display. Our lovely servers at dinner, Jamie and Freya, were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. I was offered the wine to taste. It’s a bugbear of mine that servers almost always ask the man so that was a huge plus 😁. My husband had the scallops to start and I had the goats cheese mousse. Both were beautifully presented (the goats’ cheese mousse almost too pretty to eat) and both were delicious! We both steak, sirloin and fillet, which were excellent quality and cooked perfectly, with a selection of lovely sides. My husband had the baked alaska type dessert which he said was delicious. I couldn’t have eater another thing but it did look lovely! We both had an excellent sleep with absolutely no disruptions. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt followed by smoked haddock and poached eggs, again cooked beautifully. We particularly liked that there was a wide selection of breakfast items and specialist coffees available to order, and included in the bed and breakfast rate. The champagne and Bloody Mary trolley was a lovely luxurious touch!

Had an excellent visit for dinner at Cameron House on Friday evening. The food we had was excellent with the staff throughout the hotel and restaurant attentive and knowledgable. The service was top notch and nothing was a problem for the members of staff that dealt with us. Will definitely be back.

My husband booked an overnight stay here for my 60th birthday. This was our first stay here. On check in my husband mentioned it was my birthday, I was unaware of this and when we did finally reach our room found out staff had upgraded us and gave us some complimentary cocktail vouchers. We were very impressed with this as the room was lovely with a fabulous view over the loch. We had dinner booked later that evening at the Italian restaurant La Vista. We arrived early, were told our table would be ready soon so we sat in the café area for a drink. After a short wait our table was ready. The restaurant certainly did not have chic decor, the tables were all packed together, the lighting was too bright, no ambience whatsover, the whole place lacked atmosphere. It was very busy and we were seated at a table on an aisle with no view. We waited a considerable amount of time to order, there was a severe lack of staff and the ones who were waiting tables looked overwhelmed. When our food eventually arrived it was certainly not the quality I had expected. It was very average Italian food certainly not served with passion or flair. As stated previously I was celebrating my 60th and where the hotel stay was luxurious and memorable the meal bitterly disappointed me. The lack of food quality here certainly does not match the 5 star hotel ratings.

As a family we have been frequenting Cameron House for over 30 yrs. We have seen many changes over the years , most for the good but a few not so good. Staff and service always exceptional in Hotel and The Cameron Club ( The Carrick). Cameron Club Spa is very relaxing. Can recommend Thermal Experience. Two rounds of golf were enjoyed by our group. We have always enjoyed sitting in main Hotel Bar especially when Sandwiches etc were available! The new Sports Bar is too noisy and not somewhere we would want to enjoy a snack/light bite/drinks. Service was erratic in Sports Bar and food not what you would expect at a 5 🌟 Hotel. More like a Wotherspoons ! This will appeal to lots of people but i recommend the return of small menu in main Hotel Bar for residents who do not want to watch sports on tv etc. Breakfast was amazing and well executed. This is the opinion of 8 people. We look forward to returning.

Had a 3 night stay with family and dog! Our room was more than big enough and space for the pooch to relax in style! On arrival the car was valet parked and luggage taken up to the room. Christopher was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and CJ was always ready to babysit the dog and spoil her, Allie in the Wee Shop was also very helpful. All the staff are cheerful and ready to answer any questions. We ate at La Vista and were impressed with the range available and quality of food and drink. Thoroughly recommend Cameron House for its stunning location and ability to explore the area and making us feel welcome.
