Cameron House on Loch Lomond

What an amazing experience from start to finish. Service and facilities impeccable. Eva served us in the Grill and added so many small personal touches to make our meal extra special. Lily and Trisha looked after us extremely well at breakfast. David’s (Room Service) polite, professional and friendly manner was lovely to see from such a young man. All in all a fantastic stay and would love to do it again in future 🥰

Firstly let me be clear we ( grandparents and 2 grandsons) had a very enjoyable 4 day break. On arrival we were greeted by the very efficient concierge team who were always friendly , enthusiastic and engaging . Family room with small but adequate bunk bed box room was well serviced and ticked the box. Only annoyance was sound transfer from room above. We thought the choice of restaurants were good and should satisfy most guests. We put our love of fine dining to the back burner and dined to suit the grandkids . We had no issues with any of the food offerings and would happily highlight the ( La Vista) Chicken Milanese as it was excellent. The Tavern also offered very good pub style with the fish and chips getting 👍. Pool and flume was a hit and we found pool attendant watching poolside at all times. Overall our only recurring issue was as has been highlighted in several TA reviews “ Young staff in need of guidance and hospitality education “ most were helpful and friendly but too many struggled to communicate or anticipate dinners needs /requirements. It is probably due to social media/ phone usage and lack of interaction on a person to person basis . It’s also a problem as all purchases are subject to 12.5 SC . Service charge is only acceptable if high quality service is provided , which is not always the case at CH. Management should consider TA observations seriously . It’s no surprise that the concierge team of more mature individuals offer a different level of hospitality

This is a great hotel with amazing location and great views, surroundings, staff, service and with great activities. If you are a golf lover you should play Cameron course that is associated with the hotel. Absolutely fantastic. We really only have one recommendation for this hotel. There is a great swimming pool area for kids and anyone else that are “Young at heart”. However the chlor smell is spread over the hotel and that is a real shame. You should install double doors into the area with heavy air filters. Just a recommendation. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Just returned from Cameron House. Unlike some of the other reviews we found the staff to be fantastic, nothing was too much for them and you were always great with a smile and a greeting. Real highlights were the housekeeping team and Milly who served us each day at breakfast and brought such a positive attitude to her work. Our room was great if a bit of a walk from reception, the location is fantastic and the amenities just wonderful. All seems very positive so why 3 stars?? This is down to the management or finance team who have made some penny pinching moves not fitting of a resort of this type. - Waiting in line to make your own toast is expected at a Travel lodge but not here - No turn down service, on the second day we find a card in the wardrobe which states this can be requested - really!! - Free mini bar has gone - Lobby bar, really elegant leather cocktail menus replaced by essentially leaflets with a vastly reduced offering - While Cameron House has fallen to the hospitality curse of included service charges, I can just about take at a restaurant or bar in a resort. Being charged 12.5 % on scoops of ice cream in a take away tub, is one step short of a scam.

We wanted to stay overnight at Cameron House during our time in Scotland but our schedule didn't allow, so we came today for afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge instead. The food & drinks were delicious, all our dietaries were very carefully taken care of, the team who looked after us today delivered kind, attentive & cheerful friendly service. We felt that we were able to have a very nice taster of the Cameron House experience in those few hours. If we are ever back in the Loch Lomond area, I know where we will stay!
