About the Hotel

Located in the Northwest of Saudi Arabia, Habitas AlUla is nestled among an ancient oasis in a desert valley surrounded by spectacular sandstone cliffs and palm groves with pathways leading up to one of 96 guest rooms, reception, a yoga deck, wellness and fitness centers, restaurant and a swimming pool. Every room is made from ethically sourced organic materials that blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings with minimal disruption and a sustainable programming leaving no trace on the environment. Our programming is the backbone for creating magical moments for us. The six programming pillars, which include: wellness, adventure, culture, learning and F&B are authentic collaborations with the local culture and nature. Tama, the restaurant, is a place to come together and experience an immersive culinary journey through time. With farm-to-table practices and sustainable agricultural methods. The food & beverage concept infuses Saudi & Middle Eastern cuisine, using local, fresh ingredients, such as spices once traded along the incense route, bringing Saudi Arabia’s unique flavors to life.

Reviews for Habitas AlUla

Welcome home

There are no words to describe this wonderful place in the middle of these millennial rocks that surround you in a big hug! This eco resort is a very special place, all the people who worked there are loving and smiling. Thank you for this fantastic experience. And a big thank you to Maher (food and beverage manager) for your help and competence

TERRIBLE SERVICE/INEXPERIENCED STAFF

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We were a group of 6pp (4 rooms) and we all had the worst experience ever. We travelled over 25 hours to arrive to an underwhelming experience. Our room rate was over 1k a night, so we have a bit of an expectation to some luxury as it is 5 star resort, but the level of service/staff is very low and inexperienced. We understood that they are relatively new to the tourism industry, but it very evident. Considering this is a Habitas group, you would expect the owner to ensure the staff is well trained, but even the management staff is just as incompetent. There were endless issues, from the check in to the check out and we were also overcharged. Good luck getting your refund or credit back if they make an error as they have no clue how to even credit back your credit card or even do a wire transfer. I waited 3 months and I still have not received anything. Overall, this hotel has a lot of training to do if they want to be a 5 star resort they claim to be . The Banyan tree next to them has way better service and know ho to treat their guests.

Horrible experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Double billed and they asked me to be patient but still no refund after 4 months. Management is completely dysfunctional. There are other great places is the area, avoid Habitas. You can eat at the restaurants and avoid staying at the hotel which is overpriced

Poor problem solving and transparency

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The rooms and location is great. The personal is very kind and warming. The food for lunch and dinner is below average. However, in our experience, when you arrive they tell you that the rides in the ashar valley would be complementary, also to the hegra tour. But when you make checkout, they charge for that. It is a bit of a scam. They also did not have bikes for use. In general, the installations are amazing. The problem solving and transparency is below average.

Horrible customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Horrible experience, they double charged me and still can’t get paid back. No follow-up. I would stay at the Banyan tree, Much more professional and if go to Habitas just eat at the restaurant and don’t pay the crazy price to stay at an inferior hotel.
