About the Hotel
Seemingly molded into the side of a jagged cliffside is the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi – part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Teetering high above the Amalfi Coast, this former 13th-century monastery is now a glorious hotel situated along the Italian seaboard. Impeccably restored to its original splendor, yet not without expected conveniences, the Grand Hotel features just 53 tasteful rooms and suites with a white motif and latte accents. French doors push open revealing Juliet-style balconies encased with ornate iron balustrades and million-dollar seascape views. We travel a lot and have been to many beautiful countries and hotels. The Anantra convento in Amalfi is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever been to. The views are breathtaking and the service was faultless. A truly wonderful experience.

Birthday Trip for my Wife and Family
The Hotel Guest Relations Team were extremely professional and the attention to detail whilst we stayed was second to none. They made the whole stay so special for both my wife and I as well as my daughter and her boyfriend. The whole experience was way above any other hotel I have stayed at. I would truly recommend staying. And that is why I will return. It has left an incredible memory well worthy or such great staff and of course the location. A breathtaking place
What a fantastic place. This hotel looks and feels amazing when you step inside. The conversation to a hotel celebrates the beauty of the area and respects its origins. The stunning setting is truly breathtaking and the fascinating historical quirks are brilliant. The original Cloisters and Chapel on site. The garden is brilliant and the views and access to Amalfi down a stepped path feels time honoured. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was lovely but the public hotel spaces and gardens are really quite special. The hotel cost is on the high side and we had high expectations. Overall the only slight downside was the food which was very expensive and didn't come up to the price mark in our view. The rooms was certainly clean and bright with minimal noise transfer. One tip. it might be worth checking if there is a wedding on at the time of your visit as it did impact on us as the weather caused the wedding to be transferred indoors and hence the main restaurant was shut and sitting in the bar area essentially felt like being wedding guests. Overall, however this is an amazing place and would definitely recommend when visiting Amalfi.
