Formerly a 17th century monastery, the Santa Rosa enjoys a magnificent location with incredible views in all directions in an Amalfi Coast rustic retreat surrounded by aromatic, lemon-tree-filled tiered gardens. The 20 bedrooms are decorated in cool, neutral colors, livened up with modern art. All guest rooms have ocean views, surprising amounts of space and a 100-per-cent-romantic vibe. Beds are made up with the finest white Italian linens and the bathrooms are splendidly done out in sand-colored stones. The hotel's Michelin-starred Chef Christoph Bob creates innovative Mediterranean dishes prepared exclusively with products from the monastery's own garden, served with all the elegance of luxury fine dining. The Spa at Monastero Santa Rosa was dug directly from the cliff rock, and seems worlds away from the stress of daily life. Relax in the tiepidarium, steam room, ice fountain, sauna cave, massage pool, spa shower, and foot baths.

This was our second visit within a twelve month period . Our first visit was for seven nights in a Deluxe Sea View Room. Everything about this trip was complete perfection in every aspect, hence the second trip. Only this time we learnt from our mistake….. we came for 9 nights not 7 ! We also upgraded to the Deluxe Suite (Salvia) which ticked all our boxes. Our only worry this time was whether perfection could be repeated a second time ? My goodness - what an absolute waste of worry that was. Not only did it deliver, it totally exceeded all our expectations once again. Truly sublime and utterly Magical, thank you to every single member of the SR team you all went above and beyond to make our second stay even better. Ferdinando the GM is truly lovely and really has Santa Rosa in his heart - it’s not actually just a team it’s a family Thank you to EVERYONE Antony & Helen

We were very much looking forward to our stay here, especially after reading the reviews here. We just spent five days there. On the positive side, the staff is really lovely and goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The outdoor areas are truly lovely. Our agent kept us busy but gave us one day off and we spent time at the pool - it was wonderful and beautiful. There are two negatives. It is a converted monastery. The room was very small and certainly not a place we looked forward to returning to. But the worst part of the experience was our dinner there. My fish dish was bland and uninteresting and my wife's pasta dish was inedible. We did appreciate the shuttle which was readily available to us. But I doubt we would return.

We have been returning to this beautiful hotel/spa for years now, The service is impeccable, the location unique and it’s among our favorite places to relax and unwind in private pampered luxury. It’s easy to see why it took, Bianca, the owner a decade to convert this ancient monastery previously run by the nuns into a world class people sanctuary. This place never ever disappoints.

Me & my husband spent 4 nights here and I can honestly say it’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. Words cannot describe just how beautiful this hotel is. Everything from our arrival to check out was just amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable. The infinity pool was just unbelievable I have never seen a pool so beautiful, the views of the Amalfi Coast were breathtaking. The daily breakfast was cooked to order and was made from high quality local ingredients. The rooms were immaculate with daily treats left out for you to enjoy. The location was brilliant. I would highly recommend this picture perfect hotel. A true 5 star stay!

My husband and I stayed at Monastero Santa Rosa for five nights in July 2025 for our honeymoon and were blown away with the beauty, grace, and charm of the hotel. It is situated on the mountain top with a stunning view of the Amalfi coast and the hotel has everything you need in the room and the resort at large. The spa was one of the best I have been to and the service received was excellent. The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was premium quality and the service across the board was the very best I have ever had. We were relieved this was the last stop on our honeymoon since nothing else would have come close. The hotel is so well preserved as well and retains it's history, which is truly unique since the place is one of a kind.
