Nice Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

We stayed at this hotel on four different evenings and it was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and beds were so cozy. The restaurant provided an amazing breakfast which you are given vouchers for upon check-in. Staff was friendly and shuttle service to and from the airport was reliable.

My First and Last Stay at this Property

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

MY FIRST AND LAST STAY AT THIS PROPERTY I checked in on June 20th and was given room 501. The room was fine and I had a good rest. Reservation #24672313. The next morning around 0830 to 0900 approximately I had just turned on the shower and was waiting for it to get hot so I went to sit at my computer and do some work. I had taken off all my clothes while waiting and was completely nude. To my surprise the house keeping woman used her key card to open my door and started to step in when I shouted No No No out. She never knocked on the door or/and called out housekeeping nor when she did open the door she did not even say excuse me for not knocking or I am sorry to have attempted to entire your room. She closed the door and left. Later I went to the front desk and spoke with I believe the duty manager. She called the manager of housekeeping and I explained again what happened. Of course they all apologized and asked how they could remedy this major embarrassment. I never had this happen to me in my 35 years of domestic and international travel. They wanted to give me 10,000 points and free lunch or dinner. Well I had just finished breakfast and wasn't hungry. I suggested returning my free night award and 26,000 points IHG had deducted from my account. They said they could not do that and kept asking what they could do to fix this. I decided not to hang around till dinner time as I was on vacation in Alaska and would have had to drive back just to have a free dinner so I left. Had this been a woman guest and a male housekeeper walk in like this I am sure there would have been a law suit filed in Anchorage court.

An Older Property But Adequate

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

An older property in need of updating. Several maintenance issues - sink did not drain and toilet ran sometimes. Rooms were clean. Restaurant is OK for breakfast but nothing special. Staff was helpful. Good location for most purposes. A little hard to find entrance.

I will say it a beggars hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

We stayed in this hotel for three nights from 11th may 2023 to 14th may 2023 in room no 206 & 306 and had a worst experience.. While check in this hotel, we faced stone faced receptionist harsh voice. Rooms had no drinking water, no drinking glass, no toiletries, no rack or table to keep our luggage & no tea table., very very poor & horrible breakfast..All the three days breakfast, they served only one fruit melon. No hot milk was available. In our three nights stay, inspite of our repeated calls, they cleaned room only one time. most of the time, they never attended our calls . We wanted extra towel, they refused. We asked a whisky glass, they flatly refused.. We have never seen such a nonsense, rude hotel in our life. I request to all travellers, not to stay in this hotel. So called this five star hotel, it is worst hotel.
