Intercontinental Auckland

Possitive: Very good location,beauiful room, great view, super clean, excellent service and Amenities Negative: noise from outside was driving us crazy, we stayed on 9th floor, breakfast was not good.

Wonderful location across from the harbour - the room and views did not disappoint! We celebrated a special wedding anniversary and it was certainly worth the stay. The staff were very professional and friendly - can’t speak highly enough of the service they provided during our stay.

The hotel is perfectly located to the most attractive areas and experiences of downtown Auckland all in walking distance. The views are amazing The rooms were beautifully appointed and very tidy Highly recommended

The InterContinental Auckland was the perfect starting point for our two-week New Zealand vacation. The location could not have been better, right across from the ferry terminal and within easy walking distance of countless shopping, dining, and waterfront spots. It made exploring Auckland effortless and set the tone for the rest of our trip. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and had incredible views of the harbor, which made it such a relaxing place to return to each day. The service was also a standout. The staff in the dining venues and Club Lounge were phenomenal, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, this was an exceptional hotel experience and an ideal jumping-off point for anyone beginning or ending a New Zealand itinerary in Auckland.

I stayed here at the end of a cruise before flying home. It's in the best place in terms of being close to the harbour, shops, bars and restaurants, and sights. The welcome was lovely. My room was fabulous, on the 11th floor. The open spaces are quite dark, but smell lovely. My bed was huge. The shower was a good size with good pressure. The toilet is in a separate cubical. The products provided were great. There is a safe, robes and slippers in the wardrobe. There is a mini bar. There is a Nespresso machine as well as a kettle. There is a carafe for water, and there is a filtered tap opposite the lift. The blinds open when you enter the room. Everything is managed via touch screens. Breakfast was great. I'd booked and paid in advance. Juices, coffee, fruit, cheese, meats, cereals and pastries. There's an a la carte menu and both mornings I went for the waffles, with rose poached rhubarb, lemon curd, cream and nuts. Absolutely to die for! One negative comment is that you can wait at the host stand for quite a while before you're seated. I didn't eat in the restaurant at lunch or dinner. There's a rooftop bar, I think managed separately.
