The property has been renovated and is quite nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. Service in the executive lounge was attentive. The hotel appears to be poorly managed. There were no bellmen to assist us when we arrived. Upon check in, we were told our bags would be brought up to our room. 2 hours later, no luggage. I called reception several times but the call was never answered. We finally went back to the lobby and collected the suitcases ourselves. The next morning, I called to have laundry picked up. Again, no answer. I left a voicemail to collect our laundry but no one ever came. Today was the worst though. I asked the front desk to give me 2 tens for a twenty to tip housekeeping. I was directed to a convenience store to get change. I will be cancelling my reservation in Melbourne with another Bonvoy property and switch to IHG.

A very well located hotel. We had very good room on floor 10. On same floor is a nice pool All areas of hotel were clean and well maintained. Some breakfasts were very busy and staff appeared stretched to cope Staff generally were friendly and helpful but those in newly reopened executive lounge really standout for exceptional service. Would recommend hotel for Auckland stay

We stayed here for two nights during our stay in Auckland. The hotel is stunning post renovation. The lobby, lounge and breakfast area are all excellent. The room quality was top notch and we look forward to staying here during our next visit to Auckland. We are fully confident this hotel will become one of the top ranked hotels in Auckland once the review count increases accordingly.

We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Auckland. Overall, I would rate the experience 4.5 out of 5 stars and honestly, very close to a full 5, thanks to the exceptional service. However, some minor details still can be improved which is e.g. to hand out the welcome drink to everyone by checking in. We had a lovely fresh renovated room on 10th floor without carpeted floor. On the day we arrived, the Executive Lounge had just opened, and Benjamin and his team did an absolutely fantastic job. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine professionalism truly elevated our stay and made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel itself is elegant and comfortable, with great amenities and a relaxing atmosphere, but it was Benjamin together with the team in the Executive Lounge that really stood out. They made our experience truly memorable.

From checkin which was quick and friendly to approved later checkout ,all reception staff were excellent.Ambience in lounge was very good and waiting staff very friendly and professional. Rooms well appointed.
