Beautiful, historic Victorian hotel in the heart of Austin
Beautiful hotel and fantastic location for downtown Austin business meetings. Staff, especially Chris, was very friendly and helpful and valet was easy as could be.

Classy Hotel
Lobby is beautiful, but is a very expensive hotel. Austin has a lot of extra taxes. No parking and is downtown, but many restaurants around. Do not recommend walking around late night.

Nice Historic Hotel in Downtown Austin
Stayed with my family for a couple of days while traveling through Texas in August 2025. The staff were very nice and the room was clean, unfortunately since the hotel is old/historic, the AC unit in the room was weak & couldn’t keep up. Probably 76-78 degrees in the room at night. The second negative would be because construction was going on, the beautiful bar from pictures, was not open. The bar was located in the main lobby. Elevators are slow & take forever. The plus side, the bakery was delicious, had a coffee/pastry every morning & they didn’t disappoint. If you are visiting Austin, the hotel is cool to see but probably wouldn’t stay in again.

Beautiful hotel, not great staff
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are unique. Great bar and breakfast cafe. However, my bathroom door didn’t close and the sink did t work. The star decor on the bed was broken and ripped my Lululemon leggings/scraped my leg. When I brought it up to the front desk, it was not addressed at all.

Beautiful old hotel with loads of character and a possible haunting!
The Driskil Hotel downtown Austin TX is elegant and comfortable. I have stayed here twice this summer while hosting friends in the area. The Bolos and Bourbon activity was so fun with Nate guiding us through the Bourbons and making our individual Bolos: helping to bring out our hidden artist. The location to food, bars, and cultural activities is wonderful. Recommended
