Unforgettable Experience
My family and I stayed at the The Driskill this past weekend, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. I had my family fly in for my wedding dress shopping weekend, and the hotel made it even more special than I could have imagined. When we checked into our rooms, we were surprised with bottles of champagne and delicious lemon tarts waiting for us! The rooms were absolutely stunning, blending historic charm with elegance, and every member of the staff was warm and welcoming. A very special thank you to Gustavo, who was incredibly helpful and kind while booking our rooms. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and truly made our stay unforgettable. When you visit, be sure to ask for Gustavo, he is one of the kindest, funniest, and most delightful people you’ll meet! Thank you to The Driskill for creating such an amazing experience and making my wedding dress shopping weekend even more meaningful and magical.

Must Experience Texas Classic, on Austin's 6th Street
Texas Classic! Preserved historical taste of Texas, complete with great art. Book one of the Suites! On the famous Austin 6th Street and a close walk to the Capital of Texas or Lake Austin

Restoration fault
Hotel was under "restoration" during trip, lost the feel of a true historic hotel feel overall. Full lobby enclosed and not welcoming when arrived.

Hotel is under MAJOR rennovations.
As special as this hotle is, it's under a major renovation. We were woke up at 6 am by construction. No where on the website when we booked did it say anything about construction and half the lobby being blocked off.
