About the Hotel
Hotel Magdalena is a hotel project from Austin’s acclaimed Bunkhouse in collaboration with renowned architecture firm Lake | Flato, located on Music Lane in the popular South Congress neighborhood of Austin. At 89 rooms, it is Bunkhouse’s largest hotel to date, and features four new, but distinct, buildings connected by exposed elevated walkways and courtyards, creating a treehouse feel inside the grounds. The property sits at varying elevations, an homage to the slopes of Barton Springs, and the lush grounds are planted with native Texas species including Bigtooth Maples, Redbuds, Meyer Lemon Trees, Yaupon Holly, and Little Gem Magnolia.

Coolest Hotel in Austin
Hotel Magdalena is my favorite hotel in Austin. It has the coolest vibe and is an all around excellent scene. The staff are all very helpful, welcoming, and personable and the drinks at the pool are top notch, as is the bar staff.

Wonderful stay!
My Mom and I had a lovely weekend trip and were so impressed by the property, the staff, the food, all of it! Ivy was so helpful and it was so easy to communicate to the front desk to request extra pillows, a steamer and ice. We certainly will be back! Alison

June Stay in Austin
Once you walk up the stairs to this property, it turns into an oasis! Javier at valet, to Ivy at the front desk and Cyn and our wonderful host Megan! These employees deserve a round of applause! The property has wonderful landscaping, the food was amazing. And the night time skyline view is great. We appreciate the hospitality and we will be back soon!

Super comfy beds. Private location. We enjoyed the pool and had a nice brunch at the restaurant. Only got to stay a night, but well worth it.
