Our Habitas Bacalar

Thank you Habitas for everything!! We had some magic unforgettable few days 🦋 feels like the lagoon listen, the rain washed, the rainbow smiled with hope and excitement and the sun locked in all the beauty in our souls, from sunrise to sunset, and of course, the moon whispered some beautiful mantras 🙏🏼 Many thanks to everyone for your support, kindness and amazing service!! It was so beautiful to experience a place where every moment is well curated and where the staff kindly becomes part of the magic of the experience!! Absolute paradise. Bacalar is a stunning lagoon and Our Habitas the perfect location to soak up its beauty. Food was amazing, the staff were lovely and the views from the deck were breathtaking. I would highly recommend you stay here if visiting the blue waters of Bacalar.

Ill keep this simple and 2 words. Magical & Incredible! The food, service, vista and the sheer relaxation of it all. Perfect. The colours of the lagoon are real! The jungle stay and room was just epic and probably has to go down as one of the best places ive ever stayed.

Our Habitas Bacalar has been on the receiving end of a few poor reviews recently, so I thought it was only fair that I should leave a comment on my experience staying at the hotel. When we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and our luggage was taken to our room while we checked in. First impressions were great, and the smoke ceremony experience was a nice touch. We were then given a tour of the facilities, and were explained meal times and taken to our room. We were greeted by a lovely handwritten note, and a bottle of Prosecco was on ice waiting for us. This was kindly organised by Marisol, the guest experience manager. The room was fantastic, and had everything we needed for the time we were staying (3 nights). I think if you were staying for longer, you’d need a little more storage space but for us it was fine. The outdoor shower is definitely a highlight and was fabulous. The feedback given by other guests seems to have been taken onboard by management at the hotel. For example, food is available almost the entire day. Also, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a golf cart to take us to reception/ the car park. Breakfast was fantastic. Excellent service and tasty food. However, some things are not included (like the banana pancakes) and you have to pay the full price for these if you want to order them. To me, this doesn’t make sense as they are marked as the same price as the items that are included. The only constructive criticism I’d give is that the menu for dinner is fairly expensive and not extensive, so we ate in Bacalar each night. Whilst we didn’t take part in any of the classes/yoga etc, we saw some from the lagoon deck and they looked superb. Overall, this is a great hotel for a short stay and as a base to explore Bacalar and the surrounding areas. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and we truly felt at home here.

We had an amazing stay at Habitas. On a quiet part of the lake, the view is beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Service was excellent, and there were a few nice touches to make things a bit special. The cabins/tents are nice, spacious and they have put a lot of care into preserving space for greenery between them.
