Great Staff
Dina was very respectful and helpful. She and the general manager helped me get a complimentary upgrade to a really nice room. There was also a kid who helped me with my luggage when I arrived who was also very respectful and helpful. I didn’t get a chance to get his name.

i don’t know how many times i have been at Alila Ubud and each time i only say wow what a hospitality and warm hug like a family member. Again this time i booked a villa with swimming pool with an extraordinary pool size and garden size. Alla went smooth during our six night stay . From the front desk to house keeping you guys did your utmost pampering us thank you so much and hoping to be here in coming years .

Not good at all
We have had one of the worst experiences ever on this hotel, especially considering that this trip was our honeymoon. We are Hyatt Globalist so we are well aware of the amazing hospitality of the group however, this hotel does not represent the standards. I could not agree more with all the negative reviews. First of all the room was full of dead insects. I understand that it is located on the jungle but it’s not acceptable to have the same dead infects in the room for 2 days straight. It means that there was no proper cleaning. Apart from that, we have faced also other issues such as moulded blanked underneath the sheets, shut of electricity during the night and huge issue with communicating in English language with the staff, apart from the constant negativity. Not to mention that we had to ask several times for each request ( laundry). Thank god to the lady from Philippines on the Hyatt customer service line that has assisted us to do early check out from this hotel ( 5 days ) and go to another Hyatt hotel with no additional charge.

Great start to our honeymoon!
We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and it was lovely! Beautiful location in the jungle and the breakfast was delicious! The staff were so nice and friendly and we had a wonderful time exploring the nearby rice fields and doing day trips around Ubud and north Bali. I’ve seen some reviews of there being animals and lizards around - yes, you are in the middle of the jungle, so there are of course lots of monkeys and lizards around! The rooms are very clean though and the staff are well used to chasing the monkeys off. The afternoon tea is also a very nice touch, this is usually a tea/coffee with a few traditional Indonesian snacks like banana fritters and sweet rice. There are activities like sunrise poolside yoga and Tai Chi which are also a nice addition, and there are free bikes available to cycle around the nearby rice paddies and villages. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great start to our honeymoon, thank you Alila!!

Absolutely Great
Beautiful hotel. Tranquil escape to the middle of the jungle. Surrounded by nature. Lovely pool and good food. The views are something else, unreal location, beautiful rooms, exceptional service. If you don’t like stairs you might have a problem but remember you are in the jungle at the top of the rain forest.
