COMO Uma Ubud

One of the most beautiful stays I've had. Como Uma Ubud is hidden on the fringe of Ubud, completely private, and enveloped in the most stunning gardens, banyan trees draped in vines, lush jungle, and white flowers cascading from the pagoda around the pool. I was utterly obsessed. The property perches above the Tjampuhan Valley, and that backdrop makes everything feel elevated. The guests are sophisticated, the service impeccable and genuinely intuitive. We arrived late in the evening to find a sandwich waiting in the fridge alongside nuts and cookies — no fuss, no fanfare, just thoughtful. That set the tone for everything that followed. Morning yoga in the open-air pavilion overlooking the jungle canopy was a ritual in itself. The Como Shambhala Spa is something else entirely - my treatment was so transporting I lost all sense of time. Our masseuse had been with COMO for 16 years, and that kind of tenure tells you everything about the culture of a place. Breakfast beside the koi pond was another ritual I didn't want to end. Fish ponds are woven throughout the property - including at the entry to our villa, and we even spotted a turtle making its slow and unbothered way through the water. There's something quietly meditative about it all. The villa itself was beautiful, a deep sunken bath, outdoor shower, and that particular quality of light that floods through the interiors and makes you feel like you're living in the jungle rather than just looking at it. The complimentary shuttle into Ubud town is a lovely touch that makes the seclusion feel effortless rather than inconvenient. Can't wait to return. Five stars without hesitation. We loved this hotel! Great location just outside of Ubud centre and all its crazy traffic, but still walkable Lovely rooms, fabulous food, great cocktails, friendly staff- they great you with "welcome home' each day- , amazing gym area, lovely pool, super spa and massages. Lots of wellness food choices. We arranged a bicycle tour with them and it was wonderful, touring through villages and temples and paddy fields. We will be back!

We booked COMO Uma Ubud for our honeymoon and had a wonderful, memorable experience. The staff took care of us from the minute we booked. Once we arrived, Suastika and Rista made sure that we felt comfortable, safe and welcomed. The room we booked had an incredible view and private pool that was relaxing to enjoy with my wife. It was a slice of paradise. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Bali. Fresh mangosteen, healthy dishes, savory and of course sweet. Suchi was so friendly and provided attentive service. The koi pond was very serene. One of the best parts of our mornings was the daily morning yoga with Budi. He was very knowledgeable and helped people of all levels to enjoy yoga. His support allowed me to challenge myself for deeper stretches and ground myself with mindful ujayyi breaths. The gym is quite large and even has a full squat rack! Lots of free weights for serious lifting, kettlebells, treadmills. Very well maintained. We had a great time at the spa as well and relaxed with the Indonesian massage. The pressure was perfect (we like a lot of pressure), and even allowed us to fall asleep comfortably. Overall, this location had blown my expectations away. We’re already looking forward to our next vacation back to Ubud to stay here again. Food, luxury private villa, incredible staff, spa, pool, the whole package, topped by extraordinary service. We asked for drivers who then customized our experience to fabulous artisan studios, had the BEST private cooking class and market tour with chef Dewa Artana, blissful messages, and wonderful morning yoga. It just doesn’t get any better than this, it’s the ultimate Bali stay. Forget the beach, you can find that anywhere, what they do here is unique to the jungle, fresh food and sweet helpful and most of all welcoming staff. The private pool at my villa was exquisite. Can’t recommend this place highly enough and I’ve travelled all over the world.

Beautiful hotel and the staff was amazing! Food was excellent!! I highly recommend. So close to Ubud and tourist destinations.
