The Conrad is a really beautiful resort. We stayed in a suite which is huge and perfect for our family of 4, plenty of space. We usually stay in similar priced resorts and while the Conrad is probably slightly higher in both room rate and food / drinks, you can feel the difference everywhere. Staff service is top notch, can’t fault them at all. We had already booked a week next May prior to staying this time and we are very happy to return. Only one suggestion, there are many beautiful ponds throughout the grounds, would be good to see more fish in them.

Top Notch Service!! Suku restaurant was incredible in terms of taste n service! Great staff members! I couldn’t remember all Staffs but Iko n Ery the receptionist are very kind, polite, and professional. Iko gave us a COMP photoshoot for our honeymoon gift! HSKP team was very detail-oriented as well with the cleaning. Valet n Bell team was quick and agile! Spa experience was very indulging and relaxing. We stayed at the Conrad Bali for 8 days and the experience was incredible all the way around. The rooms were incredibly comfortable well appointed and well kept. The grounds and pools were immaculately kept by the hardworking grounds staff. We saw them trimming and pruning by hand everyday. The rest of the staff went above and beyond as well. Cicilia was our curator and concierge, she contacted us prior to our stay and kept up with us throughout our stay to arrange trips ans anything else we needed. Additionally, Tri at the pool bar went out of his way to give incredible service every day we were there. The onsite restaurants were always available and the food was good at all of them. I highly recommend the brunch, it was one of the best hotel brunches in be had and like everything else it was always extremely well done.

We have stayed at Conrad Bali twice, and unfortunately our most recent stay has made us change our rating from 4 stars to 1 star. This property has noticeably declined in service quality, operational standards, and attention to detail. First Stay (May 15–19) During our first stay, we booked the Conrad King Suite. The room itself was stunning and the suite lounge experience was excellent. However, two key issues kept it from being a 5-star experience: 1. Noise Issues The soundproofing is extremely poor for a luxury property. We could hear guests in neighboring rooms, and every step from the room above. Unfortunately, the guests above us had a toddler who consistently woke up around 4–5 AM and ran around for hours. It significantly disrupted sleep and comfort. 2. Concierge Booking Failure We booked two activities through the concierge. The snorkeling tour went well, but the full-day tour with a Conrad car and driver was mishandled. Despite confirming twice the day prior, no driver was arranged when we arrived at 9 AM. We were forced to wait an additional 30 minutes, which impacted our itinerary and caused us to miss activities because of traffic delays. The driver assigned later was excellent, but this level of miscommunication at a “luxury” hotel was unacceptable. 3. Housekeeping Oversights (Minor but telling) On the last two nights, housekeeping repeatedly left only one towel even though two guests clearly occupied the room. We had to request an additional towel twice. Small issues, but not aligned with 5-star expectations. At that time we rated the stay 4 stars, believing the issues were situational. ⸻ Second Stay: Downgraded Experience and Early Checkout We returned expecting improvement. Instead, we shortened our 6-night stay to 2 nights and moved to the Hilton Bali Resort, where the experience was significantly better. Despite booking two standard king rooms, we (both Diamond members) were “upgraded” to twin deluxe rooms. An upgrade that converts a king bed reservation into pushed-together twin beds is not an upgrade. The “Hollywood king” arrangement was uncomfortable, with a visible and noticeable crease between the beds. Additionally, amenities that were previously standard now must be requested, such as the stuffed animal welcome gift, which is now just a small keychain. It may sound minor, but it reflects a clear shift away from luxury service and thoughtful guest experience. As part of our reservation we received a USD 100 resort credit. My mother purchased five of the Conrad stuffed animals specifically to use that credit. At checkout she was informed that the credit did not apply and was told she needed to pay for them. I only discovered this because I overheard the conversation while checking out myself. When I noted that the same credit had applied to the stuffed animals on our prior stay, the agent initially insisted they believed bottle covers and other items were purchased, which was not true. After insisting, they eventually corrected the bill. Although resolved, the experience contributed to a sense that the property is penny-pinching and placing the burden on guests to challenge errors rather than delivering seamless service. Taken collectively, these issues made the property feel neither consistent nor premium. The property feels like it is being downgraded while still advertising itself as a luxury resort. The Hilton Bali, where we moved afterward, provided a significantly better experience in every category. ⸻ Final Verdict Conrad Bali no longer reflects the standard traditionally associated with the Conrad brand. The service lapses, cost-cutting measures, and poor quality control make it difficult to recommend. While our first stay still offered moments of exceptional quality, our second stay made it clear that this property is trending downward. For a truly elevated stay in Bali, Hilton Bali Resort currently offers a far superior experience. We strongly recommend booking there instead.
