Conrad Bali

We had a wonderful time at the Conrad Bali,the hotel was very clean and the service from all of the staff was exceptional. We had dinner in all 3 restaurants at the hotel and found them all very satisfactory. We had see spa treatments which where very relaxing and enjoyable and also access to the spa facilities. If I was to be critical I do believe the bed rooms could do with a bit of a revamp. The staff definitely made a difference a special thanks to the ladies in the reception bar who looked after us most evenings 2 of them had worked there since the Conrad opened 22 years ago which says alot about the place. The Star of the show on our visit must go to Conrad Curater Cicilia Angelisca she could not do enough for us during our visit 5 star ⭐ service exceptional attention to detail spot on . We will definitely return for a visit in the future based on the staff alone. Thanks everyone. Mr Gary

Hotel was great, but the staff were amazing. Nanta went above and beyond for us daily to make us feel very special and was the perfect host.

I have stayed here for over 20 years and have met all the General Managers over the years from when it opened and the last visit 2 week visit a few months back will be the last time ever. This review is a word of warning that the General Manager and their team sets the tone of the whole operation and how and why this property keeps the Conrad name is beyond me. It is not luxury, not exclusive and ranks alongside what you would expect to see in a 2 star establishment in Florida, the exception being that the staff (not management) are the best you will find anywhere. The issue seems to be that management act with a heavy hand, are focused on profit alone and enforce this policy on a local people who are loving and caring by nature. Luxury is now a swear word and should never be uttered. As a lifetime Diamond member pre covid I would get a suite upgrade, could use any outlet for afternoon tea or evening cocktails. The club lounge had a small buffet in the evening, the Conrad suites pool was adults only, the club lounge was adults only, I would benefit from unlimited laundry along with a range of discounts that made me feel valued. Over the years, and with the excuse of Covid, benefits and facilities have eroded to such a point I no longer deem this even a 2 star resort as it has been taken over by cheap tour groups, weddings, conferences and low class tourists. We have a saying in the US, ‘you can’t be all things to all people’ - the Conrad has tried and failed and the new General Manager has put the last nail in the coffin. The Conrad suites over look what was an exclusive adults pool and I think I am right in saying have never been renovated. They are now very worn out, bathrooms are mouldy, plugs that don’t drain, chipped furniture, poor water pressure, water that runs brown not clear, poorly sealed doors and the worst part they now overlook what was the Suites adult only fenced off pool which is now basically a kids pool full of ginormous inflatable toys in all shapes swans, flamingos, burgers, donuts, unicorns etc with screaming children from 6am to 11pm and no-one does anything about the noise, disruption or other chaos that the children cause. The cabana curtains are torn, filthy and don’t fit and mattresses heavily stained. Soundproofing has always been a problem in the Conrad suites and you easily hear your neighbours night time activities and enjoyment but the kids screaming and playing in the pool means there is no avoiding 24 hour noise. Thinking of moving to another area of the resort don’t bother! ‘A’ block is opposite the kids clubs, Azure bar and Suku restaurant, ‘B’ block has a large lagoon in front with more noise from more screaming kids, the extractor fan from the 8 Degrees restaurant and water garden where corporate events or weddings are regularly held and ‘C’ block is opposite the wedding chapel and garden area where even more weddings are held with discos and parties. Housekeeping has always been an issue to some extent but is now at a point where no two days are the same. The boys cleaning the rooms (and I mean young boys) show little interest in their work and just want to chat or play on their phones and everyday there are issues in not leaving T bags or coffee, enough towels, no slippers (the quality of which is so bad now they are made of look like packing foam- not luxury at all). Food quality across all venues is acceptable by local standards but not by international luxury standards. So, on my last stay I found a culmination of luxury downgrades - No free laundry in Conrad Suites - Kids allowed in all pools - Kids allowed in Diamond club lounge - No private adults only area or pool - Afternoon tea now only in club lounge- no other venue - Evening cocktails now only in club lounge- no other venue - Upgrades for lifetime Diamond are begrudgingly given only after long and hard negotiation with reception at check in and escalation to management - Expect NO recognition for having spent over 1800 nights in Hilton properties. I ask to speak to the new General Manager Mr Marcus Nuekom but was advised he was busy and would make contact, to no surprise he didn’t. As a new manager I would like to think that you would speak to your guests of 20+ years and not ignore them. You are now managing, leading, encouraging and single handedly destroying and changing (as responsibility lies with you) a once great property into a low grade motel by the sea. If you are thinking of booking Conrad Bali, don’t be fooled by the pictures (which are 5+ years old), reviews from travellers who don’t know what luxury means and do your research extremely well. If you are a couple who want luxury avoid as it is over run with unruly children. The Conrad Bali is on a wacky race to destroy luxury in the name of profit. Do yourself and your wallet a favour and avoid. If you are a Hilton Honors member, stay at the Hilton (10 minutes away) where you will be welcomed and valued as a person and not just for your dollar spend. I am back in the USA now and thought that the US were bad for nickel and diming you and reducing benefits to nothing but Mr Nuekom has bought that same mindset to Conrad Bali and I pity anyone who is subjected to the diminished benefits:

Such an amazing stay. From the moment I connected with Yunita, everything was perfect. Yunita (concierge) made our stay very special. She would check in daily and nothing was too hard. The staff are so friendly. As a diamond member we were offered upgrade to suite but let our lagoon room as we wanted swim up access. We are glad we did, it’s such an amazing room (1117). Everyone was so friendly, breakfast nice and the facilities in the hotel are beautiful. Highly recommend. Lounge is nice too.

Stayed here last month to celebrate my birthday and it was such a lovely experience. The hotel is beautiful, very relaxing, and perfect for a calm getaway in Nusa Dua. I was also so lucky to get a room upgrade to Deluxe King Ocean Front! the room was very spacious, clean, cozy, and the view was very nice. What made it extra memorable was the birthday surprise prepared in my room and also during breakfast, which I really didn’t expect. Such a thoughtful gesture that made my birthday stay feel extra special. A special thanks to kak Cicilia for being so kind and helpful throughout my stay, with also my appreciation to kak Aditya at the reception & kak Pande at Suku Restaurant! I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely love to come back again and again <3
