Return Visit
This was our second stay at the Conrad, spent 7 days in a family suite. The suite is spacious, great for a family of 4. The pools are beautiful and massive, always crystal clear and so big you can avoid getting too close to other guests, never feeling crowded despite the hotel being at full capacity. The service from the staff is a standout as commented by other reviewers, its first rate and the best we have experienced in Bali. Cleaners are exceptional as well, unsung hero’s of a resort, always worth tipping cleaners. I consider the room rate reasonable for a suite and how beautiful the place is but they sting you a little on the food and drinks, at the upper end when compared to similarly priced Nusa Dua resorts we have stayed at. Over $6 AUD for a small coffee is a bit rich when it’s not as good as Aussie coffee but I guess the wonder service has to be covered somewhere. A few minor negatives, hence the 4 stars in lieu of 5. 1. The bed was rock hard, however we did have the exact same suite as last time so maybe other beds are better. 2. They got rid of the - pay $200 and get $300 credit. We loved that and usually went over the $300 allowance previously but this time we were out for dinner more reducing our overall spend at the hotel as it wasn’t on offer. 3. Rin Japanese restaurant isn’t great, food was bland and overpriced, food elsewhere in the hotel is much better for lunch and dinner. 4. Suites are looking a little tired, chipped cabinets, curtains a little ratty, still nice but ready for a little attention. I’d actually give the Conrad 4.5 but that’s not an option on this website, so a slightly unfair 4 as we will definitely return, we rate it highly.

Amazing customer service, but overall disappointing for us Diamond members
As Diamond members, we eagerly booked the Conrad Bali for our anniversary. We honeymooned there 20 years ago! Our stay was a mixed bag. On one hand, the service was exemplary from everyone we encountered. We greatly enjoyed the buffet breakfast, the beautiful pools, our spa experiences, and fitness center. On the other hand, we were continually disappointed by other aspects of our stay. We were extremely excited to take advantage of the many perks the Conrad offered to their Diamond members, but as soon as we checked in we learned that many of them had changed just ten days prior. Only because I had taken a screen shot of the benefits on my phone, they eventually honored their "old benefits", but it was a true struggle to get there and the staff in the East Lobby bar had trouble understanding what benefits we should have or not have. I had read multiple reviews before we arrived of how Diamond members were upgraded to the suite wing. I emailed the hotel in advance and requested them if they were available. But upon check in, we were given an ocean front room instead. A lovely room but it had no balcony. They said no suites were available that night, even though the Hilton website showed differently. The oceanfront room was lovely, but it wasn't a suite. It was a major disappointment for us. Then there were some smaller things that affected our stay...two days in a row our room was made up but they didn't leave any towels. We had to call and request them. There was also a large wedding during our stay. We frequently heard their group gatherings with one right in front of our room complete with microphones. It was a big distraction. We are loyal Diamond members and were so looking forward to our stay at the Conrad Bali, but overall it fell short for us. A definite disappointment that Hilton feels the need to reduce these long standing benefits.
