What a lovely spot. Checked in and were shown to our villa by our butler Jay. Our villa was amazing. Got the 2 bedroom with private pool villa. Lots of space but we were mostly outside. Jay showed us around villa. We ate dinner at the beachfront restaurant. The dishes were hit and miss but the location couldn't be beat. The next am wanted to go to gym but there was no gym. They brought us a few weights but not ok that a 5 star resort doesn't have a gym. The other ones do. I walked out to the beach but it was full of trash, debris. Noticed the beach club next door had it all cleaned up so why not Belmond? Breakfast was ok-not any other southeastern asian dishes other than Balinese which was a bummer. Pastry selection limited. Someone came up to me at breakfast and asked if we were interested in the beachfront buffet with dancing that night. I said didn't think so because our dinner at the restaurant the night before wasn't the best. Well that caused the restaurant manager to beg me to give him another chance. We hired a driver who had driven friends and my son before while in Bali to go to Ubud that day. He took us to a non-touristy waterfall, monkey reserve, rice fields and downtown Ubud where we shopped and grabbed a gelato. Problem was traffic was horrid-took us over 2 hours to get to waterfall in Ubud and 3 hours to get home. I have never seen so much traffic and scooters and stray dogs. The dog thing was heart wrenching! They're roaming everywhere looking for food barely missing getting hit by cars. We got back in the late afternoon and Jay had tea and a late lunch of club sandwiches, fries plus some local beer waiting for us in our villa-so nice. Dip in pool then later ate next door at Cuca which was the worst meal we had on our trip. Food was challenging in Bali so far. Dip in pool before bed. Next day we sat by pool and paddle boarded but paddle boards weren't good so couldn't stand up. Next was a chartered fishing trip and massages at resort which were good with good prices. Lunch by pool, happy hour at beachfront bar with yummy drinks and cards at villa. That night we went to another recommended restaurant by our hotel and it was authentic Balinese food but just ok. The next day our favorite butler, Oggi, told us the restaurant manager wanted to treat us to lunch so we could give the food another shot. We had an amazing meal of pizza, chicken pesto pasta and some fish-all good. Oggi also helped us order a Balinese specialty, suckling pig, from Grab. We invited Oggi, and one of our other butlers (can't remember his name) to have lunch with us at our villa. So fun learning about their culture, families etc. Then it was an adventure up to Uluwatu to go to Padang Padang beach and the temple. Padang Padang beach was ok-small and crowded, very touristy. The temple was ok but lots of monkeys. That night we were going to go to the Four Seasons beachside restaurant but were tired and had to pack so we ordered food in our villa and again hit and miss-one of the dishes we ordered wasn't there but we didn't say anything. I'd say all in all a nice stay. It was really about about our villa and spending some family time together. The food was hit or miss. The service was good but not spectacular. The front desk and our butler Jay had tried to get reservations at the Four Seasons for dinner and it was taking forever. Not sure why Belmond doesn't have reciprocity with Four Seasons. Shoutout to our butler Oggi, who was the best. A few things worth noting. The flies and mosquitoes. Breakfast buffet had to have fly lids on everything and there were flies in restaurant contstantly. Same with food by pool, beach. Tons of mosquitoes which is why nets over beds and lotion in bathrooms. We stayed all over Southeast Asia at fancy beachfront resorts and never had these issues. Think they need to do a better job at spraying. I haven't read this is problem at other fancy resorts. Our big issue was that 2 of our 4 nights there were parties at resort next door. Music was blasting so couldn't read or relax in villa. Talked to manager and he said its a problem and they put a flyer in our villa to alert us. That being said, when you're paying these rates for villa, you deserve peace and quiet. He offered to take care of our incidentals which was a nice gesture. The Belmond is a nice resort and the prices were good which is why we chose it over the Four Seasons and St. Regis. That being said, you get what you pay for. Our villa was fantastic but the rest was just ok. Thanks to everyone for a lovely trip!

We spent our honeymoon at the Belmond Bali and enjoyed two absolutely magical weeks. We are a gay couple which always felt tolerated and respected in the hotel. The hotel truly stands out for its outstanding service and exquisite food. The staff are polite, warm, and always eager to fulfill personal requests. By the second day, you are recognized and addressed by name, and the service quickly adapts to your individual preferences throughout your stay. Breakfast is a delight, offering exceptional quality in every dish. There is a wide selection of hot options, and the croissants are among the largest and best we have ever had. And very importantly: the coffee is excellent. Dinner was our personal highlight every single day. Watching the sun set over the ocean while enjoying a wonderful meal is simply part of the Belmond standard. Each evening is complemented by a changing entertainment program — from live music to traditional dance or singing. These picturesque dinners are something we will dearly miss. The rooms reflect the charm of Balinese style and are extremely well-maintained and, above all, spotlessly clean. You immediately feel at home and have all the amenities you could wish for. The hotel offers a genuine Balinese atmosphere — through the property’s ambience, the art and décor, the room furnishings, the music at breakfast, and the dinner menus. You can fully immerse yourself in the spirit of Bali without having to forgo any luxurious comforts. One of the things that impressed us most was the size of the hotel. With a limited number of guests, it has a true boutique feel — the staff can provide more personalized attention, there are no queues anywhere, and the serene atmosphere makes it much easier to fully relax. During our stay, any minor issues that arose were resolved immediately by the hotel staff and generously compensated, making us feel genuinely valued as guests. For us, it was the perfect choice. If you value excellent food, impeccable service, and a peaceful, intimate setting, you should absolutely choose the Belmond in Bali. This property truly lives up to the world-class reputation that Belmond is known for.

Amazing resort and fabulous service. Unfortunately, it is located on a very polluted beach with plastic aluminum.bags and junk all over the beach and water. Not to mention the nasty smoke smell from burning plastic on the beach. Do not recommend going in the polluted water. Again great resort and service - bad location Mmne

What can you say about this hotel other than ‘WOW’. Located by the beach in a tropical garden. Big villas, very clean and comfortable. Extremely friendly and professional staff. It doesn’t take long for them to know you. They will do everything and more to accommodate your wishes. The restaurant has a very big variety of dishes. If you love fish and shellfish you are in luck. Some of the tables are located on the beach and it is amazing to eat and watch the sunset. Breakfast is s combination of buffet and a la carte so you can get anything your heart desires. We got afternoon tea in the villa every day which was so nice. A very luxurious stay for both adults and children but with a cozy and familiar atmosphere

we stayed here for 5 nights to end our trip in bali. I had a lovely stay and the staff was extremely nice and helpful! we would especially like to thank Topan, who works on the beach. He really stood out to us because of his kindness and his warm heart. I would highly recommend this hotel! Valerie

My wife & I stayed at the Jimbaran Puri Bali resort March 15-22. It was our first trip to Bali & without a doubt we'll be back. We can say this in large part because of the niceness of the entire resort staff. This property is top notch, with just the right balance of traditional Balinese style & modern amenities. The staff all but spoiled us during our stay there & we especially like that almost everyone who worked at the resort knew us by our names. The staff went above & beyond what we expected to make our stay comfortable as can be.
We stayed in one of the Villa's on property (#66) & would highly recommend anyone considering this resort to opt for one ( we can’t vouch for the cottages & other room options, but can only assume they would be close to the same level as the villas ). The villas come with butler service & we can say without a doubt that the entire butler staff from the head butler (Sudaitka - pardon the misspelling of his name) on down, are all professional & will ensure your villa stay is a comfortable & enjoyable one. The villa itself comes with its own pool, which came in handy on hot afternoons when the beach became too hot. At night hearing the peaceful sounds of the ocean or the birds in the mornings is pure bliss. Plus, the afternoon tea service spoiled us. The property has two restaurants, both of which have a wide variety of food options. Our package came with the daily breakfast buffet. The buffet has just about everything you'd want ranging from daily egg specials to pancakes & everything you could possibly think of in-between. At night the two restaurants had options ranging from local seafood or meat options to a more traditional Balinese offering. We'd highly recommend trying both restaurants, because you can’t go wrong with either. There's also a snack bar on the beach that is there to please after a day on the beach ( ahh...those ice cold Bintang beers ). While we were completely satisfied with the onsite food options there are also plenty of options a short (safe) walk up the beach if you so choose. While I can only speak for the 20 minute jet lag massage I received which was top notch, my wife returned later in the week for a full hour massage & hour long facial. She found it to be one of the best massages she's had (trust me she's had many here in the states & other locations). The value for what she received at Puri Bali verses massages/treatments she's had at other resorts around the states aren't even close. Again, we would highly recommend the spa for both couples and individuals. We've truly traveled to all but two continents & stayed at numerous 'five star' resorts, but can honestly say Jimbaran Puri Bali is by far one of the best places we've ever stayed. While the property doesn't have all the amenities of some of the larger more corporate properties in the area, it makes up for it with one of the best staff you could ever meet. We do plan to return to this property & hope others would consider staying here as well. We were truly sad when it was time to leave not only this property, but the country of Bali. It’s such a beautiful, peaceful place with some of the nicest people we've ever met.
