Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

After 5 nights here , I still pinch myself every day to make sure this isn’t a dream…I never imagined that such a resort could ever exist. The beauty of the place is unreal and unmatched even at other big names in the area. Positive vibes and the most wonderful people that work here, they operate in a smooth and orderly manner making everything seamless. The butler service is impeccable and they are always ready! The room is huge and feels like it was built yesterday! No faults can be found. I loved the activities, pool, restaurants, especially the Ambar Japanese bar and restaurant that is a spectacular place for the sunset. To each and every person that makes this place paradise , thank you! Special thanks to the lovely waitress Oci with the beautiful smile for her great service this week. Glad to have so many friends at Mandapa that I look forward to seeing next time! Truly the best resort in the world!

Such a memorable stay!! We had stay in Mandapa on 30th August for 2night, me and my husband is from Bali. We are familiar with hospitality in Bali especially in 5 star Accomodation in here. But Mandapa has diffrent things to serve. The people, the place, the service is amazing. The reseption team take care us from check in, thanks to Kevin ( if i'm not mistaken her name) she's explain Mandapa patiently to us. And our patih bli Dewa who take care my daughter food from day one. He is so nice. Thank's for the cow knitting doll, my daughter love it! On first night we had dinner in Ambar, Bli Adi was take care us as we sat near by the bar. Amazing drink menu i could say. And well made food aswell. And the breakfast is super super good. Good quality of food, super nice of staff and i love the view. Mb Yanik taking care of us while breakfast, she is nice and so helpfull. I felt so happy, she's also recomend us to go for wellness activity and hot water in spa. thanks to her! Also thank's to Bli Arya and Mbok Kadek in wellness and spa. They are super nice to us. Gave us water, guide us to the hot water while showing the spa. Treat us with water and jajan bali. Last one, Housekeeping team. Love them so much haha.. they clean out room like try to tell us to don't worry about the room. They clean it and take care all of our stuff. So happy! The cleanlines is amazing the service even more than people can espect. I made this review cs i felt like home bcs of their service. Thank you! I defenetly will go back again.

Mandapa is a hidden gem. My partner and I went for our honeymoon and we were blown away from start to finish. Mandapa picked us up from our hotel in Seminyak and had water, snacks ready in the car for the long drive. The driver was extremely friendly, shared his life growing up in Ubud. Once we arrived at Mandapa, you are welcomed by your host at the entrance and taken to the beautiful lobby to take a look at the reserve village. Stevie was our host and my partner and I are so glad she was. She is funny, so kind and made sure we had nothing to worry about during our stay at Mandapa. She supposedly had only been at Mandapa for months and we were shocked because her customer service and knowledge of the reserve, the area - we thought she'd be at Mandapa for years. We stayed for two nights and we got to enjoy so much of the reserve. Kubu is a incredible restaurant where you can dine in a bamboo cocoon to have privacy but also a view / sound of the river. You get a carefully curated 10-course meal with great drink options. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff along with the incredible food made the experience so delightful. There is a spa on-site where you can book for massages next to the river. We booked a 90-minute massage and we were able to enjoy some tea after the massage by the river as well. Ambar is a beautiful bar located near the lobby, overlooking the reserve. We honestly went for the view but the drinks and food were so good. I had been craving Japanese food specifically sashimi and Ambar had incredible "small" bites including tuna and salmon tartare that really hit the spot. The drinks were so beautiful and what I appreciated is the cocktail menu indicates sweetness level for each drink. Sawah Terrace is where you have breakfast but is also open for lunch and dinner and we got to enjoy dinner with a balinese dance performance as well. The breakfast and dinner exposed us to traditional balinese cuisine as well. Highly recommend the honey prawns for dinner. Our villa overlooked the resort with a private pool and the privacy, quietness, surrounded by the incredible nature of the reserve, we did not want to leave. We felt so well rested during our stay at Mandapa. If you're looking for great hospitality, incredible views and food along with truly, a five-star experience, highly recommend staying at a villa at Mandapa, and hope you get Stevie as your host!

巴厘岛最好的度假村之一，去巴厘岛的首选。酒店坐落在风景如画的乌布核心地区，紧邻Ayung River并且坐拥一片稻田美景。我们这次入住的是河景泳池别墅，房间很大而且设计得很有巴厘岛特色，泳池面对着Ayung River和热带雨林，很有热带度假的感觉，而且隐私性极佳。 酒店共有3家餐厅，各具特色都十分值得推荐。第一家是大名鼎鼎的kubu，坐落在Ayung河边，由一个个鸟巢造型的Bamboo Pavilion组成，食材来自巴厘岛的各个区域，很有当地特色，晚餐体验堪称完美。第二家是Ambar，是一家酒吧兼日料餐厅，坐落在山顶的大堂旁，视野开阔，可以俯瞰整个酒店和稻田，是欣赏日落美景的绝佳地点；提供的鸡尾酒个个都很好喝，而且每个背后都有一个故事，十分适合黄昏时分坐在这里，点上一杯鸡尾酒看着夕阳将天空与稻田一点点染红。最后一家是Sawah Terrace，提供每天的早餐和印尼美食。早餐是半自助的，内容十分丰富，尤其是现做的面条味道很好，入住期间我每天都要吃上一碗；晚餐则提供地道的巴厘岛美食，特别推荐Sop Buntut、Bebek Goreng Bacem还有Ikan Bakar，味道令人惊叹。每周三和周六晚上，这里还有传统的巴厘岛舞蹈表演。 不得不提的是酒店的泳池，面对着开阔的稻田美景。儿童泳池是24小时恒温的，非常适合小朋友。虽然别墅里自带泳池，但我儿子每天都在儿童泳池里玩得不亦乐乎。除此之外，酒店的儿童俱乐部每天也提供丰富多彩的活动，还可以喂牛和各种小动物。酒店还提供各种各样丰富多彩的活动，其中Royal Picnic Expedition、Volkswagen Vintage Tour、Exclusive Ayung River Journey都极具特色，十分值得推荐。 最值得一提的就是酒店的服务，堪称完美。一抵达酒店，我们就受到从总经理Hosoya先生到管家Nessa小姐的热烈欢迎，在亲切的问候之后，他们为我们详细介绍了酒店的各类设施和活动；欢迎饮料也非常好喝，令人印象深刻。在酒店遇到的每一个服务人员都面带微笑，会热情地和你打招呼，大多数服务人员甚至能叫出你的名字，实在令人惊叹。在泳池一坐下，就会有人送来毛巾、冰水和水果。Housekeeping团队也同样优秀，每天都会留下问候的纸条和用毛巾叠成的小动物，我儿子可喜欢这些小动物了。 还有一件事情令我印象深刻，久久不能忘怀。入住的第四天傍晚，我们在酒店的稻田里漫步，突然天降大雨。我们没带伞，附近也没有避雨的地方，一时间特别狼狈。就在这时，一名年轻的酒店男员工正好路过，他看到我们后马上跑过来，把手中仅有的雨伞给了我们，然后飞速消失在大雨中。事发突然，我没来得及问他的名字，但他消逝在雨中的背影，却一直印在我的脑海里。谢谢你，年轻人，感谢你的雨伞，感谢你的帮助。 最后要特别感谢的是我们的中文管家Nessa，她态度和蔼可亲，工作认真负责。入住期间，她帮我们安排行程、预定餐厅、提供buggy接送服务，还每天准备小朋友要喝的牛奶，事无巨细都安排得很好，让我们不用操心任何事，只需安心享受假期。最后我们带的尿布不够了，也是她想方设法提供了新的尿布。谢谢你，Nessa，感谢你为我们所做的一切，让我们全家度过了5天完美的假期。 巴厘岛有很多顶级的度假酒店，提供着各种顶级的体验，但我个人认为Mandapa无疑是其中最耀眼的一个。感谢Hosoya先生、Nessa小姐、那位在大雨中把伞让给我们的年轻人，还有housekeeping团队的Agus、Merfa、Sumada、Sukresna、Wahyu、Wira、Jali，以及其他所有的工作人员，感谢你们给我们全家带来了如此美好的体验。期待与你们的下次相聚，对我们而言，Mandapa不仅是一个顶级奢华的度假村，更是一群在远方的老友。

Our stay at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve — one of only eight in the world — was so magical I had to share. My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday in Bali, staying for three nights, and we already deeply miss it — we wished we could have stayed much longer. From the bustling streets of Ubud, a narrow path leads to this serene, zen-like oasis. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by stunning views of lush forests and rice paddies, perched on top of the landscape and surrounded by nature. It immediately made us feel calm, enchanted, and ready for the extraordinary stay ahead. We were personally welcomed upon arrival by Mr. Gunawan, the Director of Rooms, and other team members, which immediately made us feel valued and at home. We stayed in a pool villa, and it was nothing short of spectacular — my wife said it’s the best villa she has ever stayed in. The villa featured a private infinity pool, a separate living area, and thoughtful amenities like a Dyson hair dryer (always a plus in my book!). Turndown service was enchanting: every night brought different local drinks and snacks, accompanied by little Balinese stories that made each evening special. On the first day, the team surprised me with a birthday cake crafted exactly to my preferences — it was the best birthday cake I’ve ever had, and my wife and son wholeheartedly agreed! The service at Mandapa is truly unparalleled. Our patih, Madi, exemplified perfection — graceful, efficient, and extraordinarily attentive, anticipating our every need before we even spoke. Dining staff, including Nila at Sawah Terrace, consistently went above and beyond, providing personalized touches like small Indonesian snacks and ensuring every meal was memorable. Everywhere we went, the team knew our names and our child’s, treating us like royalty and making every interaction feel special. Our son was overjoyed with Mandapa Camp — he would rush us through breakfast daily just to get there. The camp features live animals, including cows, ducks, and chickens; the two cows, Manda and Dapa, are delightfully named. The activities are screen-free, educational, and endlessly engaging. He called it “the best kids club in the world.” The resort itself is breathtaking, like a fairytale come to life. Lush forests, rice terraces, and elegant architecture combine with the lively sights and sounds of the Ayung River to create an enchanting atmosphere. Our spa experience was equally exceptional. We booked a massage session and enjoyed every moment. Afterwards, we were escorted to the relaxation room with small snacks and drinks while enjoying the sights and soothing sounds of the Ayung River. From there, we went to the vitality pool through a separate locker room, which also included a sauna and steam room. There is even a barbershop inside the spa — we didn’t have time to use it, but it looked incredible. We also took advantage of the complimentary 30-minute family photo shoot session, and the results were amazing — a perfect keepsake of our magical stay. While enjoying delectable, unique cocktails and breathtaking views from Ambar, Mr. Suarjaya, the Loyalty Manager, personally stopped by to introduce himself and ensure our stay was perfect. One of the drivers we had shared fascinating Balinese myths and history with us, which I loved and added a special layer to our experience. Having stayed in plenty of luxury resorts around the world, Mandapa is undeniably one of the most magical. From the breathtaking villa and vistas to the impeccable, personalized service, every detail was curated to perfection.
