Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

My stay at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, was one of the most memorable luxury experiences I’ve had. The property itself is stunning—set along the Ayung River with lush jungle surroundings, it offers a level of peace and privacy that’s hard to find anywhere else. What truly made the experience stand out was the service. My butler, Tapsir, was outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead, ensuring everything was seamless throughout my stay. It felt genuinely personalized rather than scripted, which made a big difference. I also had a photography session with Ryan, which was a highlight. He has a great ability to capture both the natural beauty of the resort and the atmosphere in a very effortless way. The photos turned out amazing and really reflected the experience. Overall, Mandapa delivers on every level—service, setting, and attention to detail. If you’re looking for a refined, peaceful, and highly personalized luxury stay in Bali, this is it.

This might just be the most magical place on earth. I've never felt more in tune with nature, while soaking in the lap of luxury. The service is incredible, and since there are not many rooms in the hotel, you really feel like the staff are able to attend to everyone. The facilities are lovely, in particular the fantastic kid's club on site and the incredible breakfast. The gym, the pool area are all stocked with premium amenities. We had the riverside villa and it was truly beautiful, spacious and luxurious. A special shout out to our butler Shabrina, who made our stay incredibly memorable. She spoiled us for the 3 days we were there, playing with the kids and anticipating all our needs before we even know what we wanted. Definitely the highlight of our experience at Mandapa.

10/10 experience. Our villa was probably the nicest room we've ever been to. Huge space with an extra living room area, with a huge pool, infornt of the river. The food in this hotel was the best out of all of the hotels we visited in our honeymoon. The spa was amazing, the gym facilities are top-class, and the service is impecable too. I want to shoutout our concierge Sugi who made our stay so much more pleasnt , enjoyable and personalized. She was amazing and really helpful in every way.

We had an exceptional experience at the hotel, and the level of service truly exceeded our expectations. During our stay, my wife unfortunately got Bali Belly and had to visit the hospital. From that moment on, every member of the hotel staff showed genuine care and concern for her condition. They consistently checked on her well-being, and even at the restaurants, the staff paid special attention to preparing food that would be suitable for her recovery. This level of thoughtfulness made a very difficult situation much more comfortable for us. We were also incredibly impressed by the hotel’s honesty and professionalism. After checking out, we realized that we had accidentally left an envelope with cash in our room. When we contacted the hotel, they had already secured it for us, and when we returned, everything was safely handed back. This gave us great peace of mind and speaks volumes about the integrity of the team. In particular, our room butler, Marka, took outstanding care of us from beginning to end. His attentiveness, kindness, and dedication made a significant difference in our stay, and thanks to him, we were still able to have a wonderful time despite the circumstances. Next time, we hope to return in good health so we can fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. Thank you again for such a memorable and heartfelt experience.

My husband and I checked in on Monday 15th March and will be departing tomorrow. We wanted a short getaway and was thinking of Bali. There are so many choices in Bali. We really enjoy the Aman hospitality through out Asia. However when we saw the beauty of this Ritz Carlton Reserve property, we decided to chance it. We were apprehensive as there would be not much we can do in the resort as it was very hilly. However to our absolute delight there is just enough to keep you busy yet relax. We have always one measure we ask ourselves on the final night. Will we return? That is a true measure of the success of the facility. The answer is yes... And we hope to return in October with the family for another stay. What sets this property apart? The views are stunning and equally important that each and every staff is well informed and warm. Our hostess Niti was an absolute bundle of positive energy and so quick on her feet. The spa was a delight that needs no detailing other that the smooth strokes of the Bali ladies keeps you in bliss. We spend time in the fitness center each day with the trainer from 0800 - 0900. I do no have his name but another positive character that gently pushes us. Yoga is everywhere. Morning is fitness routine for us. Followed by a quick nap then Yoga in from 1600 - 1700. Our day is just right. The food was a delight no complains at all and cocktails are so well thought through. Are there areas of improvement. Small and yes. In the living area there should be a little refrigerator and international plug points so that we can do our work and enjoy the space without going back into the bedroom. Our compliments to the team and the attention to details. Keep it up.....
