The Ritz-Carlton, Bali

Our stay in October at The Ritz Carlton, Bali, was a delightful experience, primarily thanks to the exceptionally welcoming staff. A special shoutout to the lady who assisted us during check-in and graciously escorted us to our suite. The gentleman who helped us with check-out also went above and beyond by offering to take photos for us—his kindness made our departure even more memorable. We celebrated a birthday with a fantastic dinner at the Beach Grill. The staff there were incredibly friendly and even sang a birthday song for me, adding a personal touch to the delicious meal we enjoyed by the beach. While we were unable to stay in a villa with our upgrade award, the suite we received was still lovely. It was unfortunate that we couldn't join the free resort photography session, as the time slots were already fully booked even we tried to book right after our check-in. Given that our trip was short, we felt we barely scratched the surface of everything the hotel has to offer. We truly hope to return soon for a longer stay to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings and amenities. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for a wonderful experience!

We stayed here 6 nights as part of a wedding party. The room suite with a lap pool in front of our unit and several other units was wonderful. The bed was a california King. Mini bar was sparse but we didn't really use it. Fruit in the room was sparse. The staff were always smiling and very helpful, as well as the Buggy(golf carts) operators to take you where you needed to go. It is essentially all walkable, but in the beginning we were under a tight time schedule for the wedding preparation leading up to the wedding. The Chapel was beautiful and the setting magical! The A/C could handle the heat from the all the glass on a sunny day. Luckily, we didn't have any rain for the ceremonies. The real negative is the towels & robes had been washed so often they were like cardboard. Disappointing since you would expect a 5 star hotel would have lugerious fluffy quality. We had a half bath and a full bath. The food was quite good and the breakfast bar (from 6-11am) has a wide range of food types & was quite a spread. You can find just about any kind of food style, all very good. While the hotel boasts of 5 dining areas, they are not what we expected. There were really only 2 full style dining rooms. The others were drink bars, or specialty like the breakfast type. NONE of them are air conditioned, which was surprising as hot, and especially humid, that Bali with a beach is. The low tide is not swimmable. The checkout was disappointing. When we checked in, apparently the desk clerk undercharged us slightly. They never contacted us about this, until we went to settle the bill and we had flight to catch. Even though it was their mistake, they insisted we pay the difference, about USD 100. We even spoke with the manger but they continued to refuse to credit the difference. Sadly, it left a bad taste in our mouths (and for a 5 star hotel...this should not have happened) after such a beautiful wedding & time at the hotel.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this place. I will focus on three highlights. 1 Chef Ayu at Senses made being gluten free easy and treated us with great care. 2. Asih was at the Beach Grille both night we had dinner. She expertly guided us through the menu. Both dinners were above and beyond delicious. 3. Silent made our Missioni experience a beach lunch to remember. We were visited by the chef in every experience. Traveling with allergies is not always easy but the Ritz Carlton Bali raised the bar. Our most special hotel experience yet. Thank you.

I have been to many places in this world but the staff of this hotel is above everything I have seen so far, warm, kind, gentle and always smiling. Also the rooms are very big and beautiful, everything is clean and tidy, as well as the extraordinary food. I always went to Punta Cana, I will definitely come here from now on!

I had the most wonderful experience during my stay at The Ritz Carlton, and I have to give special recognition to Santi for making my birthday truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Santi’s attention to detail ( she even remembered how my name was spelled two days later to write on a birthday treat) and genuine warmth made me feel incredibly special on my birthday. She took the time to make sure every part of our stay was perfect, and even surprised me with a thoughtful, meaningful gift that I’ll always treasure something that will remind me of this trip and make me smile every time I see it. It’s rare to meet someone who combines such professionalism with sincere kindness. Santi embodies the true spirit of The Ritz Carlton’s legendary service, and I’m so grateful for the effort she put into making my celebration so memorable. Thank you, Santi, for turning a great stay into something truly extraordinary.
