Eliminating or reducing services during the pandemic was understandable, but now it’s just about reducing costs. I stayed for 3 nights and paid nearly $300 for the room. No housekeeping at all unless you call in the morning to request it and no room service is available. You can go to the restaurant to get takeout, I was told. I asked for housekeeping the first day, but the room wasn’t cleaned. And no proper duvet cover means making my own bed with flat sheets folded around the duvet doesn’t really work. If I had eaten in the room or had a lot of other trash, the room would be disgusting. I shouldn’t have to request supplies to last for 3 days at this price. The room is nice, recently renovated, and was clean when I arrived. Not worth it at all.

Thank you Melody for being so informative… made the steps seamless… Sorry you don’t get off til 11 (no she didn’t complain let’s be clear on that… she was very pleasant and un-phased as a true professional would be) but I am also in the service industry and I appreciate good service… and the late hours as well because I know it can be tough… Thanks Melody… you ROCK!!!

We were greeted very nicely by Melody at the front desk . She was very attentive , helpful and professional. Melody made sure that we are very well taken care of. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable . We definitely recommend this hotel . Location is also perfect.

All the staff were all so friendly. I really like their bartender Kevin. He was very kind. He even made a birthday drink for my daughter. Impressive. We enjoyed our stay here.

My husband and I were at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore for two nights the weekend of 4/12/24, attending a legal seminar. Our room was quite large, but rather outdated and in need of a refreshening. The only area in the hotel that had a comfortable temperature was our room, as we could control the thermostat. (Other guests we spoke to could also control their thermostat). Every other location in this hotel was extremely cold -- the meeting rooms, dining facilities, bar, hallways, etc. When we asked the staff if we could have a little more heat, they said that they were not allowed to adjust the temperature. When we checked in at the front desk we were told that there would be no maid service. The lady at the front desk said that if you wanted your room cleaned up and the bed made, you had to call the front desk (even though we were already at the front desk!) by the afternoon the day before you wanted it cleaned. I did call, and first the in-room telephone was completely dead. So I called with my cell phone and was told we could get housekeeping service the next day. I also reported the broken phone and the lady stated she would send someone to fix it right away. Needless to say, no one ever came about the broken phone, and no one ever showed up to clean the room the next day and make the bed. We were out of our room all day (Saturday) so they had plenty of opportunity to clean. When we returned to the room around 5 pm the room was just as we had left it in the morning. No one ever called us about it (of course, we had a broken phone), and there was no apology for the lack of service. We would certainly never return to this Sonesta (or any other one for that matter), and the only time we were satisfied there was when we checked out.
