The Hotel was fantastic value and the service was impeccable, probably the best we have ever received. Pros: a) The food was good in both the restaurants we tried, Villa Corinthia and the summer Kitchen. The fish at the Summer Kitchen (by the pool) was delicious and we had lunch here everyday. The Breakfast was also very good (although there is 1 complaint, read below). b) My partner had a spa treatment which she thoroughly enjoyed so would recommend trying one of these. c) The solo Tennis Court is also well kept and the hotel will provide a racket and balls. d) Most importantly and titled above, the service received was faultless. Unfortunately my 5* recommendation was let down by several small issues: a) No view from our garden view room (we are on the end of the first floor and had more of a view of the road than any garden). b) No aircon, causing it to be very hot at night even with fan provided. (Not sure if 1) all rooms had no aircon, 2) we just got unlucky with a room with no aircon, 3) in May they don't have aircon turned on) c) €5 supplement for some breakfast items. It is of course not the cost that is the issue here but the principle. When you have bed and breakfast included, I don't expect to have to pay extra for some items which seems arbitrarily chosen. Full English included but Poached eggs and avocado not? Just seemed strange. Overall: We would definitely come back to the Corinthia Palace and will recommend her to our friends visiting Malta. It's just a shame I can't be as glowing in my review as I wished to be.

An oasis of peace, calm, good food and very helpful staff. We did not try the Bahia restaurant but the other two restaurants were excellent . The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff in the restaurants, the bar and the concierge service were all of them helpful.

So, was really looking forward to this hotel... Arrival was nice. really good host duty manager explained everything. I did notice the reception area fairly busy.. of note - they have a lot of conferences and the people spill out into the foyer working and having meetings. Large hotel and the first Corinthian. Some areas look tired but communally was quite nice. A bit disjoined in access and I suspect difficult for wheelchair users- lots of steps. I noticed over coming days the reception was definitely very busy with conference attendees. NOTE. They take payment for the room upfront (no issue) they also take a 300euro deposit for anything else you buy or use (not really something I've experienced but OK! its a credit hold) -This will lead to the 1 star review reasons! YOU NEED TO BE ALL OVER THIS!!! It's a process they clearly can't deal with. Room. The literature shows new plush rooms. not sure how many are like this - ours was dated, bed fairly uncomfortable, pillows weird and flat. shower in the bath, cramped and leaked onto the floor. No good if you have accessibility issues. Definitely 20 years old! Probably needs an update. we were told 'some' had been updated. But be aware this is most likely what you get. Was clean and well serviced daily. Pool area was nice, although again could do with a refurb, outside cafe was nice - but not good if bad weather as no cover, so it closes in rain - not sure where else you can eat apart from high end restaurants. Not sure it was meant for kids. Spa - owned separately. Lovely therapists. Spa reception guy always seemed to look put out or interrupted when you spoke to him. The private pool (bookable by the hour) needs some maintenance - especially because the door mechanism didn't work, so when you are shown in - you can't get out! Nobody answered the phone. Had to escape through the gardens in the end and be let out by a gardener. Hilarious! Although could have been a disaster in an emergency... Gym - Good quality, but it's a private gym and can get really busy mornings and evenings. gym team friendly. Again, you can't get from the gym back to the Spa (which is the way in as it's a one way door! never worked out how to get out without assistance, the room keys do nothing.. decent gym kit though! Breakfast and Breakfast team - outstanding! Concierge Team - Amazing. DM Simon - How managers should be! A credit to Corinthian. Overall it should have been 3 stars.... But, here's why it's getting 1 star - and 1 week later it's not resolved! 18 emails so far - no managers will engage... they are ghosts. On leaving they asked if I would like to use the credit 300 (remember) and pay difference. Yes, I said. I paid difference and expected 300 to also be deducted. About 12 hours later - the full (and final) amount is deducted again. So they have taken far more money than they should have. Can I get them to agree I am right? No. I can't. It's a crazy and needless situation which is probably incompetence or lies. I have lost all faith in this hotel and the management.I have called the bank, they have confirmed the payments taken. Stupidly I used a debit card as a credit card would have had better traction on a complaint or refund (as the credit card companies money). They should be doing far better - the customer service has been awful! They won't acknowledge a compliant - it's like you leave and they wash their hands of you. It's a shame because they have some individual lovely staff members. I tried to speak to the manager - but guess what? Not available... There are far better hotels around who trust you to pay at the end of the stay! I will update this if or when I get my money back. here's hoping. And if you read this from Corinthian Senior Management - be better!! Be honest and own issues like this one!

all the services from reception to housekeeping to restaurants, gym, Spa were excellent. At the reception Maveric helped us in the early morning at 4:30 with coffee, In the Italian restaurant Rashil gave us a very professional but customer focused treathment. The Spa employees were very helpful. All these made our holiday perfect! Thank you for being for us!

24h réception is very handy, I arrived after 00:00 and was greeted by Sandro! The all around help at the reception during the day was also on point. Special thanks to Maris and Thea for their help with my demands. Swimming area very big and clean. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were also very pleasant. The gym, simply 10/10! Especially for an hotel gym. Good weights, machines, friendly people / guests, … The breakfast was very tasty, with a lot of options (buffet or á la carte). In the evening you have choice in two restaurants or room service (see picture attached for example).
