Went there to celebrate my wife promotion. Book a entree level suite and planned to go dinner to their teppanyaki. Arrived way too early but they got me my room anyway, greeted by the GM Ted, got an upgrade to Suite type.... and the food, fantastic. Big up to Nathalie the front office staff, amazing service. Will come back

This is an exquisitely designed hotel that tastefully blends Thai elements with the Aman aesthetic. We spent 3 nights in the Premier Suite, and it was both stunning and incredibly comfortable. Layout of the room is impressive, and we particularly enjoyed the spacious bathroom featuring a large tub and generous shower. The well stocked mini bar was complimentary, with the exception of a few bottles of whisky and hard liquor. Housekeeping provided excellent service throughout our stay. Overall service was outstanding. Since the hotel had just opened, the staff frequently sought our feedback and took our comments seriously. Our first breakfast was somewhat disappointing, but the chef addressed the issues and our subsequent breakfast was very enjoyable. We explored all the dining venues and bars, and we definitely recommend Sesui, the sushi restaurant. Our omakase lunch was amazing, the quality was comparable to that of top sushi experience in Hong Kong or even Tokyo. Dinner at Arva was satisfactory but forgettable. Hiori, the teppanyaki restaurant may need some improvement. While the service was lovely, the food was average at best in both preparation and presentation, and the small dining space suffered from poor ventilation. It was not a dining experience one would expect from a luxury hotel like the Aman. After dinner, we love visiting the Aman Lounge, where we enjoyed the special cocktails and nightly performance. We visited the spa for treatments. We did not enjoy our experience and cancelled our bookings for the following day. There are many incredible spas in Bangkok, and we believe Aman needs to enhance its offerings to provide a truly unique experience. The hotel offers a complimentary guided tour of the Nai Lert Heritage Home, which is just a short walk away. We learned fascinating stories about the Nai Lert family, and the museum was quite interesting. After the tour, we went to the 1872 Bar and ordered the 1872 Martini, which was a perfect conclusion to our journey back in time. While this hotel offers stunning accommodations and exceptional service, at this moment, there are areas for improvement. With some refinements, this will definitely shine as another gem in the Aman family.

In July 2025, I checked into the Corner Suite at Aman Nai Lert Bangkok. Opened in April 2025, the 52-suite ultra-luxury hotel is set within the tranquil Nai Lert Park in the upscale residential Phloen Chit neighbourhood. AMAN NAI LERT BANGKOK With interiors courtesy of longtime Aman collaborator Jean-Michel Gathy and his Denniston consulting firm, the hotel draws its design inspiration from the nearby Nai Lert Park and the family’s all-teak Heritage Home which was built in 1915 and served as the family’s residence until its conversion to a museum which conducts pre-booked guided tours and hosts private dining experiences. Wellness facilities are set on levels 9 and 10. The 29-metre outdoor infinity saltwater pool on the 9th floor features a heated massage jet section and a century-old sompong tree protruding into the space through an elliptical void at its centre, while the fitness centre is fitted with Technogym and Outrace equipment along with complimentary use of a state-of-the-art InBody body composition analysis machine. Set over two floors, the spa comprises treatment rooms offering Aman’s signature Grounding, Purifying and Nourishing treatments; a hair and nail salon; hydrotherapy facilities (steam, sauna, hot and cold plunge); and a medical centre operated in partnership with Bangkok’s Hertitude clinic which offers a variety of treatments, from IV drips to fillers and even botox. The hotel offers a variety of complimentary guest experiences daily, from fitness classes such as Thai Boxing, Rhythm Dance, HIIT and Vinyasa Yoga to cocktail making, tea and coffee discovery and even classes dedicated to spirit houses, Thai calligraphy and plaster doll crafting. This was a very commendable, consumer-friendly departure from the primarily payable approach to guest experiences at the Japanese Aman properties I have stayed at previously. CORNER SUITE Decked in soothing, earthy shades of gray, cream and brown with varied textures of marble, stone and warm wood, the 92sqm Corner Suite offers floor-to-ceiling corner windows with cityscape views, its height accentuated by triple-tiered ceiling moldings with cove lighting. A spacious window-side daybed could accommodate a couple sitting with their souls and soles touching, while a dining table positioned next to the other window is laden with goodies upon your arrival, from welcome champagne in an ice bucket to an ornate gold chocolate block bearing the shape of the sompong leaf (you know, the one shooting through the swimming pool). There is also a wall-facing work desk where you can find a Aman coffee-table book and Aman Essentials magazine. Apart from controlling lighting, temperature and window shades, the bedside tablet summons the hidden flatscreen TV from within the table-top. It needs to be said that the super king size bed is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had. I don’t usually write reviews, but after discussing with friends, I feel like I should let others know the real experience and disappointment. (The first 2 reviews here were obviously before the official opening/ sponsored maybe?) I stayed here in July with my partner for 3 nights. We had high hopes given that they charge more than double of other new 5 star hotels per night. However the service was the main issue we are not happy with. I specifically summarized a few points here. 1) Breakfast was chaotic. The waiters got the orders wrong and never remember who ordered what. Everything they brought to our table, they had to ask who ordered. We are unhappy juices were served last on our first day, after we almost finished our hot food. So on second day, I specifically said I wanted our juice first, but it was the same. Also, my partner waited almost 30 minutes for his sunny side up eggs, after he asked twice, he finally got it. 2) When we went back to the hotel from our shopping, we had our hands full of shopping bags. The staff at the lobby saw, but only opened the door for us, did not even offer help with our bags. 3)There’s a QR code to scan leading to a WhatsApp number for communication with the hotel staff. I tried to book a 90 minutes massage at the spa for our last day, initially they said only 4pm onwards was available. I explained that I had a dinner at 6pm, so I could only do 60 minute massage if only 4pm available. But I really preferred 90 minutes, so it would be great if the spa’s available at 3:30pm. Took them a while, but at last they replied 3:30pm is ok. On the day of the massage, after some thought, I worried it would be still too rush for a 6pm dinner, so I went up to the spa and kindly asked if they could advance our appointment 10-15 minutes. The spa staff said ‘Certainly! Tell me the exact time you most prefer.’ Turns out, they are available at 3pm! I understand they might have had a previous cancellation, but I feel like they should make a note in their system that we actually wanted our massage earlier 4)On our arrival, they said we would have a personalized butler/staff, well, we never saw her again. Not even when we checked out. All in all, I think their staff were not well trained, their management isnt taking customers seriously, their service and the whole experience were just okay, can’t even say they are good 5 star hotel standard. With the price we paid, we expected them to be outstanding. The only good things were the location and new spacious rooms, even considering these factors, it is not worth splurging on this hotel just because it is AMAN. There is no AMAN magic. We will never stay here again. Just want to tell the truth so people can make a wise decision and don’t come expecting for the AMAN experience.
