About the Hotel
Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao is an integrated part of Central Plaza, one of northern Bangkok’s largest shopping and entertainment complexes. That means dozens of dining experiences are on your doorstep, along with behemoth department stores and a mix of local goods sold at the enormous Sunday market in neighboring Chatuchak Park. Rooms are modern and fresh, and outdoor spaces are more imaginative than what you’d normally find in a downtown, business-district hotel: The blue-tiled swimming pool is enclosed by a thick curtain of coconut palms, creating an ambiance that channels resorts in Phuket.

we liked it
A slightly older hotel, but one that nonetheless has charm and we liked it. Our room was a bit worn, but that's also the case with many other hotels (in Sukhumvit or thereabouts). It had all the amenities and the room was large enough. The breakfast included a wide selection of dishes, the pool and garden are nice, and the gym is pretty good. There is a small shopping center directly connected to the hotel, and there are also a few food stalls in the area. The weekend market is just around the corner, as is the (new) train station, which is why we chose this hotel. All in all, we were satisfied and if we are looking for a hotel in this area again, we will come back. PS: The hotel also stored our second backpack safely and free of charge for a week while we took a road trip to the south. Thanks again for that!

ice and noon, two very welcoming people that i loved talking too (although i did take too much of their time) .. great drinks and company at their bar with smiles the whole time even when i chatted nonsense. this is great bar to come too and relax thank you both for making me feel welcome
