Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River

What an amazing property. We stay at four seasons, all around the world. This one was rated as the second most nicest hotel in the world. I can see why the service was unbelievable even for four season standards. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing. The rooms were beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. Cannot say enough good things about this property.

Here, the noise and exhaust fumes of Bangkok seem far away. The hotel is located on the Chao Phraya River and is like an oasis in the bustling city. Beautifully decorated with many works of art, it creates a wonderful atmosphere. You don't miss anything and feel comfortable from the very first moment. Don't miss the Café Madeleine with its fine coffee and exquisite products.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that leadership begins at the top, and in this case, the brilliant Christina, Hotel Manager, sets a standard that radiates throughout the entire property. With 17 years of Four Seasons experience, most recently from Dubai, she has elevated this hotel into something truly world-class. It comes as no surprise that Four Seasons Bangkok earned its rightful place as #2 on the World’s 50 Best Hotels list. Killian, the Guest Services Director, made us feel like we were coming home rather than checking into a hotel. His warm hospitality set the tone for a personalized experience from start to finish. The team is full of standouts: Tan at BKK Social Club made every interaction memorable Christina from the coffee bar was a daily highlight, crafting the perfect iced latte each morning with joy Kik at the front desk greeted us each day with authenticity and kindness, a true gem And the list goes on. From in-room dining to the concierge, every staff member carries a genuine smile and sincere pride in what they do. You can always tell when a property has fantastic culture. The team is happy, the service is heartfelt, and the experience is seamless. It is the little touches that set ultra-luxury properties apart. Case in point: they noticed I am left handed and quietly set my place setting accordingly at dinner. That kind of near- telepathic service stays with you. Four Seasons Bangkok is more than a hotel. It is a symphony of thoughtfully curated experiences, perfected execution, and deeply human hospitality. I am thrilled to recommend it to my most discerning clients and even more thrilled to return.

Classy hotel on the Chao Phraya river. Modern design but with relaxing charm. Room very comfortable and upscale. Convenient hotel boat shuttle to shopping mall about 5 minutes on the river. Excellent evening meals and great breakfast buffet. Service superb.

On arrival, the booking was incorrectly handled — the rate was wrong and breakfast was excluded, with a difference of nearly THB 1,500 per day, which was not a small error. Despite repeated follow-ups (including my colleague, who was also staying in the hotel, informing the front desk), no one resolved it until she personally had to sort it out. The shower was another persistent issue: Day 1 – no pressure, no hot water; Day 2 – no pressure, mildly hot water; Day 3 – still poor pressure, only slightly better temperature. Even after complaints, the situation barely improved. I had also requested extra bottles of water in the room as the complimentary ones are very small. This was not ensured daily, and I had to keep reminding staff. At the Chinese restaurant, while the server was polite, one dish (tofu) was completely forgotten and served only at the end of the meal. At breakfast on Day 4, I requested the hostess to inform my guest I was already seated — this too was not done and we ended up missing each other until we connected separately. On check-out, my American Express card was declined, though it worked seamlessly at multiple outlets in the airport immediately afterward. Thankfully, I had some cash with me, but this was a very inconvenient way to end the stay. On the positive side, the property looks beautiful, the location near the jetty is excellent, the venues are impressive, and staff are generally polite and kind. Unfortunately, repeated operational lapses and lack of attention to detail overshadowed the positives. All these complaints were made to the front desk team (possibly even a Duty Manager), but at no point did anyone from the management meet me. My meetings were all in the hotel, and they had my mobile number — they could easily have left a note in the room or even a voicemail message, but no effort was made.
