Reviews for Hansar Bangkok

Nice but little expensive

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

I had wanted to try Hansar for quite some time so decided to give it a go. I was a little disappointed the rooms would have been very nice originally but they just have a slightly used feel to them nothing I can really put my finger on but I don't feel very comfortable in this room. Maybe it's the overwhelming amount of signs telling me how much I would have to pay for various items, use of the hotplate, the slippers or bath gowns. Yes of course one realises that these are for use in the room but they just seem to be everywhere you look.  The hotel is located just 2 minutes walk from Radjdamri BTS, 10 minutes walking to Central World.  Check in was fast and efficient, the staff were very friendly and very accommodating.  The room consisted of a large desk/work space, small kitchenette area with refrigerator, kettle, sink and the for mentioned hot plate (2,000B/day?), the kitchen / office blends in to the lounchge bedroom with a low sofa, few bean bag seats high coffee table and bed. The bedside table lamps were rickety and loose (I tightened them up in just a few terns so why did the staff not sort this?)  The bed was very comfortable medium mattress, nice crisp linen, very comfortable pillows. I had a good sleep. The bathroom is large with double sinks, a large bath, walk-in shower (rain and wand), separate toilet cubicle. Wardrobe is open to the bathroom and has very limited hangers but ample shelf space.  Pool area is quite elegant with a long but narrow pool running along the outside of floor 8, there is added privacy as the loungers are in groups of 4 separated by the building structure with steps at each point to enter /exit the pool.  Breakfast - probably the worst part of this hotel both in organisation, staff efficency.  The overall feel was chaotic! There were no indoor tables available, actually very few indoor tables so we had to sit outside which is fine if not a little hot this time of year. There is a salad and bread buffet, juices and pastry, everything else is al a cart. I order smoked salmon bagel, it was tiny with little salmon, so I also ordered eggs benedict. This was equally poor a toasted French stick slice with spinach (eggs florenteen?) slice of ham and an ice cold poached egg, covered in some non descript sauce with some black liquid toasted on to it. Absolutely the worst attempt at this dish I have ever tried. It took ages to place the order and the coffee arrived when we had finished eating (that's OK by me) but in a dirty cup. The table service of the ordered items was surly plates sort of dropped on the table with no announcement. This breakfast is changed at 600B+ 17% =702B this is outrageous for what's on offer.  When I asked the concierge for a taxi I was offered a GRAB, I can get a grab myself and for comparison the grab price for my destination was 130B, instead I walked to Rajadamri road and got a metered taxi 41B. Overall this is a good hotel, sure it's a bit tired and could do with renovation. Maybe if they intend to continue as a hotel on the lower floors (upto 18) the could repurpose the kitchenette area, and generally freshen up the rooms. The biggest change needed is breakfast, suggest managers try breakfast at Como Metropolitan Bangkok to get an idea how this buffet / Al a cart breakfast is done well. Or they reduce the breakfast price as it stands only worth 200B in my opinion.  Would I stay again probably not with so many other choices at this price point. But never say never ☺️

Relaxation at best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This is my fifth visit to this hotel Over a decade, and it’s still a wonderful spacious room Really relaxing and room to have two full size suitcases and space on the desk and tables for all your things The bed is comfortable and large for westerns height no feet hanging off the end The rooms are designed to eliminate all noise so you have a really restful sleep The breakfast is currently served upstairs with a decent salad and fruit arrangement with a selection of hot food to order. The hotel is close to the MRT at end of road and their is a laundry, convenience store and massage across street Highly recommend for a relaxing stay jsut realise the rooms are a little tired in soft furnishings but doesn’t change your shower or sleeping quality

Simply amazing hotel

I had a delightful four-night stay at the Hansar. The staff consistently offered warm, kind, and efficient service. My suite was impeccably clean, incredibly spacious, and luxuriously comfortable. The shower was particularly impressive. Breakfast on the 19th floor was a highlight, especially when enjoyed outside amidst the stunning surroundings. The swimming pool and spa were both excellent amenities. Special mention goes to hotel concierge Alec, whose assistance was invaluable.

Relaxing birthday trip

Very good location, only 5 minutes walk to BTS. Easy to find local restaurants, spa and shopping malls in surrounding area. Surprised by the spacious room and the real plant decoration. They serve a very tasty breakfast as well. If there is more sunshine at the pool will be perfect.

Needs Better Attention To Detail

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

The location is fabulous, hotel is good too but they have a super strange water policy. Makes no sense. First of all they leave only 4 really really tiny water bottles in the room (all plastic bottles) and if you want any more water they charge you. Now an average human drinks 2-3 litres of water a day and there’s two people sharing this room so we are literally having to constantly ask for water which only comes in these tiny plastic bottles. I can’t remember the last 5 star hotel I stayed at with such a random and strange policy. First of all, all hotels have moved towards glass bottles that are refillable with filtered and clean water. Something as basic as drinking water not being adequately provided is really a pain when it’s boiling hot outside and you’re literally looking for a basic drink of clean water. Also to top this off after they cleaned our room they didn’t even replace the 4 tiny bottles so now we have no water. I’m laughing at the contents of this review as I write it because I literally have never had to write such a strange review in my life, but I hope this encourages them to change this super strange policy.
