The Sukhothai Bangkok

Patchu, from reception organised last minute for me the Sukhothai signature massage by Tangmo, which was a superb and envigorating experience!

The décor was very nice, and the atmosphere was peaceful. We can feel the Thai vibe. We, the service staff, including K. June and others, were very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty, especially the coffee. We enjoyed eating here.

From the moment we drove up the long, elegant approach to reception, our expectations were high — and they were exceeded at every step. The hotel is simply beautiful, a calm sanctuary in the heart of Bangkok. We stayed in a spacious Club Room, checking in at the dedicated building on the left and heading up to the 6th floor. Even though we arrived just as high tea was ending, the staff held it open for us — a small but memorable gesture that set the tone for our stay. Throughout our visit, it was the thoughtful touches that made us feel genuinely special. On our first full day, we had an early tour and asked for a wake-up call and coffee at 6am. Not only did the coffee arrive right on time, but the team also surprised us with beautifully prepared lunch boxes, anticipating we might need them. The attention to personal detail was remarkable. My husband has an intolerance to cardamom, which we mentioned at check-in. When Indian nibbles were served one evening in the Club Lounge, they made him a special selection just for him. It was also his birthday during our stay, and although we were leaving early that morning, the staff still surprised him with a cake and a heartfelt rendition of Happy Birthday. To top it all off, they had already left a beautifully crafted anniversary card and sweet treats in our room — such a thoughtful touch. Every interaction with the staff was warm and genuine, and the service seamless. From turndown while we enjoyed cocktails, to the outstanding buffet breakfast, to the luxurious comfort of the beds and the fabulous shower, everything contributed to a sense of calm and happiness from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I may not have another reason to return to Bangkok, but I feel I must return to this hotel. Without exaggeration, she’s among the top two/three therapists that ever met in the country and I say this with confidence, having traveled to Thailand for work three to four times a year over the past 25 years!
