The Sukhothai Bangkok

Our family and friends enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea in the lobby and celebrated the holiday season. Mulled wine and a combination of Thai and western sweet and savory bites.

​With work and personal travels, half of my time in a year is spent in hotels across the continents and the more I stay at The Sukhothai Bangkok, the more impression I get on this hotel. The setting is undeniably one of the most exclusive and highest privacy in Bangkok, From the very welcoming and lushly entrance to their serene courtyard, this hotel claims the real definition of an urban oasis. It is calm and quiet enough till I can hear the birds sing anytime walking in the courtyard. The landscape and architecture of this hotel work together at its best. Surrounded by skyscrapers which only keep on growing, but I always feel the humbleness in the design of The Sukhothai with a compound of low rise building and generous outdoor space, the courtyard, the corridor, the garden. You really feel like this is a resort in northern Thailand rather in the centre of the metropolitan area. Walking around the hotel is like touring in a living museum, every corner and floors installed with wall sculptures which I admitted I just noticed after nearly 15 times staying here. All of those pieces are all different. Although I am not really a pool person but can't deny that they've got one of the best outdoor pools in Bangkok and I love that it is on the ground floor (as well as the spa and our favorite Thai restaurant) which make all spaces very airy and effortless to walk around from place to place. With a membership program I have, I am entitled to upgrade to suites or higher but my favorite room is always their entry room in the original building. Loving those wooden and silk furnishings which make the room very warm and earthy. The big window and the view of their courtyard is the real oasis in town. Their housekeeping is always on the top level, keeping the room clean and refilling the amenities as needed. Super friendly staff and to that point - easily to be seen unpretentious. Overall I'd love to come back here any time my travels allow me to stop by Bangkok. All the features of this hotel present a high value that is hard to be matched by any hotels of the same level in Bangkok.

Again a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel over the Christmas break! As before, we booked the Club Wing. Spacious room, pool view, amazing king-size bed. But it is the staff at this Club Wing that made our stay even more special. They are so friendly and caring! From the Concierge, the Club Lounge, The Pool & Terrace team… We had a perfect stay and we will come back for sure! Thank you!

The Sukhothai Bangkok hosts its annual market event, featuring a wide variety of local food and drinks. The event is pet-friendly and includes traditional Thai dancing and cultural performances. We are so excited and truly enjoying this wonderful event at the hotel!

We chose Sukhothai for its serene environment and sublime interior. We stayed at the Club Room, King. The stay was well worth the money. Clenniness was impeccable, breakfast wait staff was attentive. The dining hall was huge with high ceiling, it made breakfast experience pleasant. We love the tableware design that carries the subtle motif of Sukhothai logo. All-in-all, executive staff professionalism at Club Wing, their attentiveness, down right to the doormen, complete our experience at Sukhothai. It was an excellence stay!
