Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel’s location is perfect—just steps away from high-end shopping and an excellent selection of restaurants. The service throughout our visit was truly outstanding, a full 10/10. A special mention goes to the host at breakfast. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but his warmth and attentiveness made a lasting impression and made our stay even more memorable.

It was an interesting experience in Barcelona overall, but the city no longer feels as welcoming as it did the first time I visited 30 years ago. It’s almost as if the city has swapped its spirit of hospitality with Paris! Surprisingly, Parisians are now much friendlier to tourists. That said, for a city that’s become known for “water-gunning” tourists, I suppose I should have adjusted my expectations accordingly. This was one of the most expensive hotels I booked, over USD 500 ttc per night, but it certainly didn’t deliver a five-star experience. After four nights, I found myself wishing we had checked out earlier. Some of the front desk staff were grumpy and stingy with their smiles. At check-in, no one explained any Hilton Honors benefits, and my daughter’s extra bed, just a sofa (not even a sofa bed), was charged at €99 per night. Also 2 additional taxes from the city. Breakfast was fine; while the selection was limited, the staff were attentive. The pool closed at 8 p.m., which meant we couldn’t use it at all after a day of sightseeing. Most hotel pools close at 9 or 10 p.m., so this was disappointing. The gym, located on the rooftop with no AC, was far too hot to be usable during the day. The location of the hotel is excellent, but the unfriendly front desk staff really soured the experience. If I return to Barcelona, I definitely won’t be staying here again, hence my four-star review.

This hotel was amazing. From the front desk, to the door man , to the cleaning ladies to the whole staff. Everyone was extremely friendly. The room was so nice ! Would def stay again !

Lovely, unique hotel. We arrived early with jet lag, and our room was upgraded and ready early for us! The room was beautiful with an upstairs loft for our teenage son. Nice big bathroom. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the concierge, to the cleaning staff and the breakfast room. All wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and so many choices. Each morning they also made a special order to take up to the teenager who was still in bed. They were so kind to us. I stayed in the hotel in August of 2001 while traveling with my parents. I wanted to return and recreate those special memories. The hotel has been updated since then, but still holds its charm and uniqueness. You have exceeded all of my expectations! Thank you very much.

Bounced around many different hotels throughout Barcelona and I have to say this one was the best. From staff to amenities to food and drinks, this place is great. I will definitely be coming back.

We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Hotel Claris in Barcelona and enjoyed every minute of it...The staff went out of their way to tend to our every need. The service they showed far surpassed the service I have experienced at many five-star hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel!
