It’s afterhours, you’re sipping a cocktail, and a Roman mosaic from the second century is begging closer study – Claris Hotel makes a museum experience available 24 hours a day, thanks to an expansive art collection that ranges from Victorian furniture to Turkish kilims to etchings by modern Catalan painter Josep Guinovart. The ground floor museum showcases pieces from Jordi Clos Archaeological Foundation’s private collection, while Napoleon leaves his mark with several drawings he commissioned. Another way this hotel channels a museum: Peace and quiet pervades the hallways, which guarantees a good night’s sleep.

The hotel’s location is absolutely unbeatable. It’s very close to Casa Batlló, making it incredibly convenient for shopping. Sagrada Familia is also within a 20-minute walk, or just a 5-minute taxi ride, so you can easily choose the best option depending on your situation. The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. I truly appreciated how they handled even my more demanding requests, and I’m both grateful and a little sorry for the trouble I may have caused. A special thanks to Lydia, who took such great care of us. Thanks to her, we were able to fully enjoy our honeymoon in the best possible way. Among all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe, this was by far the most pleasant and memorable experience.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Extremely clean and well maintained rooms. Everyone at the front desk is so friendly and through. One person I wanted to highlight was Osama- who went out of his way and spent hours helping us search for tickets to top Barcelona sites! Would love to stay here again!

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and sophisticated, and the room is comfortable and well appointed. In a luxury hotel, it’s the small things that make the difference: the robe, the complimentary mini bar, turndown service, amazing in room coffee etc. We even took advantage of the complimentary tickets to the Egyptian museum, which also exceeded expectations. This will be our go-to hotel for the future! This hotel felt like a real find.

Wow! Exceeded expectations! Never stayed at a luxury boutique hotel and it was delightful. The concierge booked an excursion for us at last minute. When we realized we would have to miss breakfast the sent up 2 “picnics” at 7am consisting of water, juice, prosciutto sandwich along with ham and cheese sandwich , croissant, chocolate croissant and mixed fruit! This was enough to feed us breakfast and lunch!! What a nice surprise. When we had breakfast the next morning it was sit down with fresh squeezed juice , latte or cappuccino along with fresh fruits, cheeses, and desserts . So delicious. All of these extras and I haven’t even mentioned how attentive and friendly every staff member was. Hailing cabs, making change , water, champagne and sweets . We felt so special . What a great location and access to the museum was a special treat. Spent 2 hours looking at mummies and artifacts from the Egyptians and king tuts tomb. 10 min walk to Sagrada and 5 to passage gracia. Felt so safe walking around at night . Thanks to all the staff for making our 2 nights so special!

The hotel has a spa with no water treatments. Massages are twice as expensive as in the best salons in Barcelona. The rooftop pool is uncomfortable to swim in. The sauna is 50°C. And on the last day, they wouldn't let us stay an extra hour, even for a fee, until 1:00 PM. Even though new customers only arrive at 3:00 PM... the breakfasts aren't bad.

We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Hotel Claris in Barcelona and enjoyed every minute of it...The staff went out of their way to tend to our every need. The service they showed far surpassed the service I have experienced at many five-star hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel!
