Excellent hotel and location.
Brilliant customer engagement in all areas. Walking in reception we were greeted and luggage taken and delivered to the room when ready. Bar and restaurant is great, food great and staff very helpful. Room was excellent, comfortable, space, spotlessly clean. Location is great also, 10min walk to marina / beach one way and same to Placa De Catalunya in the other direction. Lots of narrow cobbled streets opposite with artisan shops, restaurants and bars. Highly recommended.

Nice but not adequate for the price
great location. unfortunately the request for a room in a higher floor was not fulfilled. for the price we paid this would have been necessary. so the view was very mediocre. the window could not be opened which lead to heavy air in th room. service at the reception was good, not outstanding, service on the roof top bar slow, nobody was there despite it should be open.

VERY CLOSE TO THE HOPPING GOTHIC DISTRICT. Lots of great food and shops, and close to most things. GREAT staff and wonderful rooms. You won't be disappointed

A comfortable and friendly hotel, ideal to explore Barcelona
Grand Hotel Central is a beautiful hotel, ideally situated to explore Barcelona. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. About the only improvement I can think is that some explanation should be placed in the room about how to raise and lower the shades. A small matter, but we spent 5-10 minutes trying to find the mechanism, and finally called reception for directions. Views of Barcelona from the terrace are beautiful, and the breakfast buffet is great.
