Hotel Gran Derby Suite

The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The area around the hotel was nice with places to eat and shop for snacks. There were several bus stops close by and the tram was also close. The pool is small but the pool area has plenty of seating and is secluded. The bathroom had a shower and a large bathtub.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gran Derby. The staff are genuinely friendly and go above and beyond. Laura arranged restaurant reservations for me, and Ali somehow secured the Sagrada Família tickets when I couldn’t get them myself. He also shared tons of insider tips about Barcelona that practically mapped out my perfect itinerary. I’m very grateful. About the turndown service, finding a fresh rose by my bedside moved me deeply; I’ve been going through a difficult time, and that simple gesture meant so much to me. The hotel itself is excellent: the location is close to Sants Station, which is super convenient for trains. The neighbor is quiet, so I slept well every night. Interiors are stylish without trying too hard, with well-chosen art pieces that give the spaces character. I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Montse, who checked in on my trip and kindly asked if I needed anything. That personal touch made me feel truly looked after. Overall, a seamless, comfortable stay with standout service. My family will be visiting Barcelona later this year, and I will recommend staying here without hesitation. Thank you to the whole team for making my visit so easy and memorable.

I booked the hotel through the Hilton partnership with Small Luxury Hotels (SLH). It was my first time, and will be my last. On arrival the hotel tried to charge me for breakfast even though as Hilton Diamond member it’s complementary. The room was not at all as described on the Hilton website. It said spacious separate living area, it was all in room; walk in shower, it was above a bath, bidet there wasn’t one. I queried this and a whole two hours of conversations and phone calls ensued. Including 3 staff just staring at me while I explained issue and the response - “we have no manager”. I agreed to stay one night, if they refunded my other three nights and reduced the room rate as the room I paid for is not the room I got. The reduced rate has not been honoured. The pool was tiny, only four sun loungers. They were all in use when I tried to use them. There also were no towels. The gym was awful literally a cupboard with 8kg weight as maximum - I’ve seen better in a garage. There was a used contact lens on the bathroom side by the basin, showing poor cleaning. A 4* luxury hotel?! I find that hard to believe I could not wait to leave and go to a proper Hilton hotel.
