Hotel Ohla Barcelona

Ohla Barcelona exceeed my expectations. The hotel itself, rooms, breakfasts, dinners and staff were wonderful! The rooftop bar was very nice. It was easy to walk to anywhere in the Gothic Quarter. Ohla Barcelona is very close to restuarants, shopping and bars. Loved the hotel and would stay there again.

Great experience from check in to check out. Javi went out of his way to get us into our room as soon as possible and took great care to meet our every need. The rest of the staff that we had the opportunity to meet were also amazing, outgoing, friendly and all in all, again went out of their way to accommodate us. Thank you for making the end of a long trip to Spain relaxing and stress free

Ohla Barcelona gave us the experience of a lifetime!! From the moment I booked our stay, they reached out personally to me to introduce themselves and to give us an overview of our stay. My wife and I came to celebrate our honeymoon, but I also wanted to celebrate her birthday, which fell on the second day of our stay here. They immediately jumped into action to ensure that we planned a special surprise and I could not be more happy with how it turned out. Andrea made sure that every detail, down to the wedding photo they printed out for us, was perfect. Ohla also helped me make a reservation at one of their recommended restaurants, which was delicious and gave us amazing service! They also helped make me a reservation for a haircut so that I could look fresh for my wife’s birthday :). Before our arrival, they reached out and let us know of the National Catalunya Day that fell on the same day we arrived, and of possible road closures, and made sure we had a plan of arriving to the hotel without any issue. Their level of attentiveness and care was comforting for our first stay in the city! Along with the phenomenal staff, the hotel itself is gorgeous. From the lush bed to the sleek shower built for comfort, our room was a reflection of the beautiful city. The breakfast downstairs each morning was delicious, and the rooftop pool was an oasis overlooking the best views that Barcelona has to offer. The decor inside and the building made the whole experience feel absolutely luxurious. The true shining stars at Ohla Barcelona are the staff. I have never had a hotel provide such exemplary service. The staff was kind, personable, and never hesitated to provide us recommendations for us to explore the city and all it offered. They gave us a warm welcome and goodbye (shoutout to the incredibly sweet Adria) and left a huge impression! We hope to one day return to Ohla!

The hotel is in a great location and is beautiful from the outside; however, the inside is designed poorly and is very dark and poorly lit. The walls and floor are a dark grey, and it is hard to see going up the stairs or navigating around the hotel. Our shower was in the middle of the bathroom with no privacy from the bed or the entrance door. I feel like the entire hotel has design flaws, which is unfortunate. The breakfast was lovely, but I would not rate this a five-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.

Amazing staff, they were all very kind and professional. One of the men up front helped me fix my broken luggage (the airport broke it) and I didn’t even ask him to, he just did it because he wanted to help! Very wonderful experience for my first time in Barcelona. I’ll definitely be back.
