We felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. We had been traveling for a long while and were very tired. They were able to get us a room right away with an early check so that we could rest before beginning our day. The answered all our questions and took care of any needs we had.

From arrival to departure the team at this hotel could not do enough for us. The location is perfect in the gothic quarter, you can walk to la Rambla, the marina and lots of shops and restaurants. The glass shower in our room was a bit different but that’s just personal choice. I would definitely book again.

Positives Great location Fantastic roof top bar Plenty restaurants /shops within walking distance Majority of staff friendly especially the porter and day staff at roof top bar . Vast choice at breakfast. Housekeeping a very high standard Negatives Disliked the shower in the middle of the room ,very strange concept . Very dark in the communal areas . Inflated price of food and drink at the roof top bar ,big difference in the cost in the restaurant. Attitude from some of the night staff at the roof top bar …a lot of standing about talking !

Firstly, the staff is exceptional. Very welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect, as you can walk to many restaurants, shopping, and sights. The room was well appointed, very clean, quiet, and WiFi worked very well. My daughter is in the study abroad program and it was very convenient for her as well. I felt like I was at home and I will stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights after a cruise around the Iberian Peninsula. Overall we really liked the hotel but with some cautions. Hotel service is of a very high standard, staff are very nice. Cleanliness is also excellent. Location right next to the Gothic quarter couldn’t be better. There is a nice rooftop pool with a casual restaurant and a very good view of old Barcelona. The hotel has an attractive and unusual minimalist interior design. However, it is also impractical. As it has dark black tiles it can be difficult to see the stairs. Also the public bathroom downstairs is hard to find your way around. But the main impracticality is the so- called convenience rooms, which we initially booked. The rooms are very small with absolutely no drawer space. But even stranger is the bathroom. It’s an open shower in the middle of the room (which can be taped over on request) with stairs going up from the bedroom to the shower. I would say that this room may be very good for a couple of young honeymooners with almost no luggage but not for seniors. We complained about the room and they very kindly upgraded us to a beautiful modern suite at an additional discounted rate. This was a really nice room (but not inexpensive) with a great view of the Gothic quarter. So the moral of the story is don’t book the convenience room if you want some privacy, room to unpack and no stairs in your room. The hotel has several restaurants. We ate breakfast (included) and a late lunch at the restaurant on the ground floor. The breakfast was average but the lunch was very good and with similar pricing to nearby freestanding restaurants.
