Below Expectations at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona
Booked a Regency Club room and was checked into a club room on the 16th floor. Mattress sagged and looked to be near end of life and the two chairs in the small room were uncomfortable to sit in. The really disappointing part of the stay was the regency club experience. While they have a small dedicated space for the club on the 18th floor it is only open from 10:00am to 6:00pm with some soft drinks, coffee, tea and some light snacks like cookies and mix. Breakfast is served in a very crowded area on the first floor and it feels like a buffet on a cruise ship which we always avoid. I asked for smoke salmon which is always provided in the Marriott hotel concierge lounges but was told in this Hyatt they don’t serve it (I did have smoked salmon in the regency clubs at the Hawaii Hyatts). No cooked to order omelettes. At night the regency club has tapas, wine and beer in the same 1st floor space and it has minimal offerings

Great Stay
Grand Hyatt Barcelona is a beautiful hotel. We had a suite which was fantastic. The service was great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The neighborhood was great. The amenities included with the Grand Club were very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst Hyatt experience so far
Check in took forever. Zero recognition of Globalist status. Asked for a couple of bottles of extra water and was charged 6 EUR each. Quite ludicrous and never had this experience at any Hyatt hotel before.

Reasonable stay
Nice Hotel, clean rooms, helpful staff, excellent junior suite. Short walk to Metro. But the club lounge is poorer than other Hyatt Hotels.

Broken and poor service
Dirty room with broken features (shower handle was ripped off, no water pressure, would not drain). Strong sewage smell on the floor. Bed springs were poking through. Chair in the lobby bar was broken and there were food scrapes all over the floor. On checkout was told "Oh well, fill out a survey"
