Hotel Sofia

We had a wonderful time at the Grand Hyatt during our stay in Barcelona. The hotel is beautiful, modern, has all the amenities one would need, and it’s in a great location! I absolutely loved working out in the fully-equipped fitness center but more than anything else, the entire staff is very helpful and has fantastic customer service! I was happy to learn that the concierge desk was open until 11:00 pm., and truly know their city! I commend them on the job they do. They were very busy, but we were able to have dinner and tour reservations made very easily. We didn’t plan this trip, and hadn’t researched anything prior to our arrival, so having the concierge staff assist us at the last minute and plan an amazing trip in just a few minutes was truly amazing! I’d also like to commend Bellman, Lorenzo Dylan, who always greeted us with a smile, answered questions, hailed taxis, assisted us with luggage and took the time to take some fantastic photos of us in front of the hotel’s “Hola” sign. He is truly an asset to your staff and goes out of his way to make the guests feel like VIPs! Please give him our regards and thank him for his hospitality. My husband is a manager for a major airline and we travel very frequently. We can’t wait to return to the Grand Hyatt Barcelona and will definitely recommend your hotel to our colleagues!

This property really failed at delivering a warm welcome coming off a long travel day. As a globalist, making sure that your customers get into their rooms as early a possible keeps them as loyal members to the brand. Even with ensuring that I would receive early check in with my concierge, that didn't happen. Finally when I got into my room five and a half hours after originally showing up, there was physical dirt in the bath tub and the hot water was not working until later that night. I had to take a shower in the gym after a 15 hour flight. Even with involving the management the problem was not remedied. I was traveling with my wife, 2 year old son and elderly in-laws. The whole experience was a major disappointment.

Stayed with family. 2 rooms for 2 nights. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Checked in by Christina who was professional, friendly and helpful. Bedroms are very modern and are clean. Breakfast is very good with large selection of tasty food and drink. Sofia Tapas bar has top class service. We ate in Sofias one night. We ordered a large selection of tapas and they were all extremely tasty. Great location if visiting Camp Nou. All the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Just tried to go to Lena restaurant, we are staying here at the hotel. Andrea working at lena said no availability. Ok fine. We went online and made a reservation. She rolled her eyes at us and sat us down angrily that we had made a reservation. Unbelievable rudeness. We were all laughing. A 3 star hotel pretending to be 5 star.

Loved the place and the location was excellent for me... Perfect place for conferences/events and business use. I had no issues to report while there. The staff were excellent and friendly 🙂
