InterContinental Barcelona

Overall a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental Barcelona. Room was very spacious and the A/C was able to cool the room down to a comfortable level. On the rooftop pool, Irina and Karina provided amazing service; when all the chairs were filled they were able to find me a spot still for us to enjoy a late lunch. Breakfast was good but it felt like most items were the same on the second day. Bell staff was great and always willing to help with luggage and taxis. Checkout was seamless as well with a quick explanation of my charges and quite a few follow up emails checking to ensure I had a great stay and if there were any issues. Location wise, it's not in the heart of all the touristy locations but there are nearby bus and metro stops to get you quickly to where you need to. FreeNow (the taxi app) was also very affordable and an easy way to get to the heart of Barcelona. Glad we picked this hotel instead of the Barcelona EDITION.

We had a great time there, the hotel is very clean the rooms are spacious. Great location we could walk to many tourist places. Special thank to the great concierge "Fredrico" (sorry if I have typo) he helped us a lot for planning our visit and reserve a flamenco dance show for us and kids, which was amazing. Great food is offered in the hotel with many choices. We loved the roof top pool with great view. But what made our stay special was great service, friendly and helpful staff. Everybody spoke English very well.

I came here for a work off-site and thought it was a nice hotel. My room was fine and the bed was comfortable (though the bathroom was a little austere), and the conference facilities (if you're into that) were really good. We had dinner on the roof terrace, which was really pleasant and the roof terrace generally has excellent views and is pretty cool. Service was a little bit slow, but not a major issue. Breakfast was also fine, so all in all, a perfectly happy visit to a large, corporate hotel.

Our family stayed here in May 2025 for a few nights before departing on a cruise out of Barcelona. This hotel was fantastic and we are already planning a trip back to Barcelona just because this hotel was so nice. Pre-Arrival: This hotel did a fantastic job in communicating with me prior to our arrival. We booked a car service from the airport. Very professional and luxury car service to the hotel. Check In: Fast, efficient, friendly. We had booked a club lounge so were quickly escorted to the special check in area for the club lounge. Isabella at the club lounge upgraded us to a suite with our membership. We had 2 rooms and she made sure we were close. Room: Super clean, spacious and comfortable. The AC worked great. The bed and pillow were amazing. Beautiful views of Barcelona. For European hotels, this was the biggest room I've stayed in. Club lounge - very nice breakfast and drinks available throughout the day. My only feedback would be better afternoon snacks. The amazing breakfast made up for it but I would suggest better options in the afternoon and evening. Check Out: sometimes in European hotels check out can take a long time specially during a busy time like when we checked out on Sunday morning. However, the hotel did an incredible job of checking us out in the lounge so we did not have to check out with the rush in the lobby. Special shout - Isabella the club lounge manager! You were incredible! Our daughter loved her bunny gift. You were very friendly and professional. Thank you for taking care of our family!
