Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona

We absolutely LOVED this hotel! It's very grand and lux and from the moment you walk in you know you will be in good hands. The staff was all very attentive and friendly. The room was very spacious. The location could not be any better, in the heart of Barcelona (in my opinion) with tons to do and see very close by. We will be back!

The hotel has a majestic appearance and is marketed as a five-star property, but the experience felt more like a four-star stay at best. Unfortunately, the service and management left much to be desired. One major issue was the breakfast buffet — while there was a variety of options, the quality was disappointing. Much of the food was hard or overcooked, and the eggs were extremely mushy. Even worse, the dining area was poorly managed, with dirty tables often left unattended for over 30 minutes during breakfast hours, making it difficult to find a clean place to sit. I also had a frustrating experience after leaving my charger behind. The hotel claimed they had shipped it but expected me to pay €150 for an item worth around €30 — without even providing proof of shipment. I explained I’d be happy to pay once I received confirmation, but I never received the charger, and communication from the hotel was slow and unhelpful. To make matters worse, the front desk staff were quite rude when I asked to pay for my extras separately — something that should be a basic request, especially in hospitality. The hot and cold water in the room kept switching, and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. While the hotel itself looks impressive, the overall experience was let down by poor service, technical issues, and mismanagement — definitely not what you’d expect from a five-star property. 3.5/5

This was an amazing hotel to help us enjoy magnificent Barcelona! Location is perfect, rooms are great! We stayed in Majestic Suite this time and it was absolutely amazing! Breakfast is great if you come early!

We had a fantastic stay at the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona with our two kids. We booked two adjoining rooms, which made it feel like we had our own apartment — spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a family. The service was excellent from start to finish, with helpful staff always ready to assist. The location is unbeatable. We were just a short walk from iconic spots like Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, and Plaza Catalunya. One of the highlights was waking up to a view of La Sagrada Familia from our room — truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for families looking for a convenient base to explore the city.
